You could be right, Dober, or he could be remembering it that way, or he could be about as good at relating an experience in writing as most people, or he could have heard something in a highly stressed situation as some people's senses become quite acute under those circumstances.

I just don't know for sure.

It would not be like if someone pees onto something from a distance, as onto the ground or in a toilet. It's not dropping onto something.
It might if the boy was going commando.

:rofl1:

Actually, I can hear when Aurelia pees into her diaper. It's not loud, but there is a "potty" sound.

If he was in a truck, there stands a very good chance that the pee was running down the kid's leg onto rubber floor mats, in which case, yes you would hear a "water" sound. Same as if the seats were vinyl, when it started dripping to the floorboards from the seat.

There's crazy, unexplained things all over the place. I'm not one to totally dismiss it out of hand.

We have a beast living here in Moutier, he is pretty hairy, smelly, and unkempt looking, can often be seen routing around in bins and communal waste disposal areas.. Can often be verbally abusive especially if he has mixted his medication with alcohol..

His name is Jean-Claude.. ;)

I don't doubt that there are people out there pranking. Anytime there's a "sighting" of anything different it brings out the jokers. Heck, my dad's cousin was the Mothman!
Mothman was my favorite mystery! I did some 'research' after seeing this and that mystery is no more. But that area still looks special from this site:

Heheh . . . we didn't find out until a family get together a few years ago. My dad's cousin, Tommy, who was a rather large teenager (figure that my sister and I, at 5'8" and 5'10", respectively, are the shortest grandchildren in my dad's family) had gone somewhere wearing a costume his mom had made him for something and enjoyed scaring a few people. So he continued the game for a good while. It pretty well freaked him out when the Silver Bridge fell, though, and he quit.

When the sculptor was making the statue of the Mothman, my dad's aunt offered to let him meet "The Mothman." He wanted to do the piece according to his imagination, though, lol.

The locals around Gallipolis and Pt. Pleasant have a lot of stories about Chief Cornstalk. I really need to go up there and talk to them at length sometime and collect the tales.

That's a great story. I can see a kid having fun with something like that, then all of sudden things get carried away. It sounds like the book and movie people embellished it all a bit.

I do hope you can record the stories about Chief Cornstalk. You'd be good at that and those are true historical and cultural treasures.
