I don't know how many of you care, but I'm kind of surprised they're cutting wrestling from the Summer Olympics and cite, "popularity" as the reason. Come on man, Fencing is still an olympic sport isn't it? I've never met a person that fenced in my life. I can go any weekend and find a gym full of kids wrestling.

The sport has been around since the very first olympics in Greece and in the modern games as well. The sport has been here and around the world forever in some form. It is the toughest sport I ever competed in, by a long shot. They ax this and leave ****ing race walking???? I think the IOC can go suck a fat one over this decision.

That's terrible. Can you imagine how the athletes that train so hard for this feel? That's the suck.

I don't watch wrestling much, but have friends that train for wrestling. It's really hard work and they train ALL the time. This is terrible news for the wrestling community.

This decision surprises me. I agree, not only is this a more popular sport than some of the others, it's history alone should buy it a place in the Olympics.
