Thanks guys!

We are working on crate training and not trying to crawl into my lap to steal food I am eating. So I hit two birds with one stone. She ONLY gets a bite of my food if she gets in the (open) crate and waits for it. She caught on fast, one "session" and she was laying in the crate making hungry eyes at me.

Also I found a sweater I bought years ago (for a cat that had surgery/stitches, it was too loose) that I saved for my "some day" dog. It fits her almost perfectly, the stupid cheap sweaters are never long enough though. Anyway I put it on her to see if it fit and she backed away when I went to take it off "no mommy!" ... so she is still wearing it lol.

She is really really REALLY good for a puppy. I know I am going to jinx it but she hasn't chewed anything up (no shoes, stuffed animals, cats LOL) and only had one accident. That was because her first night she drank an ungodly amount of water, apparently she hadn't had any for a while. She peed right by the door, so at least she tried lol.

The only thing "bad" she does is make whale noises (rrrrwwooooowwwwwwww ahhhh wwww) when I leave the house or crate her. I will try freezing kongs next time, it's the only thing besides nylabones that I feel safe to leave in a crate unsupervised.

I just wanted to say that I haven't pushed Lacey to the side or anything, Lacey is my first baby and always will be. They have been getting equal attention, in fact Lacey might be getting a tinnny bit more because she's sharing her mommy so well and I appreciate it.

(pup was just peering at me over the top of the laptop screen (Iam on the bed) I tired to get a pic but she moved LOL.)

Yes, I am in love lol. You guys are going to be SO SICK of hearing about her haha.

Shuddup Zoom LOL! I think it's hilarious, I didn't realize it at first. Sure, I figured out that there is a good chance that the Pitty is her mom/dad, but I put two and two together a day later. The lightbulb went off *bing* "Ohhhhhh! OMG LMAO!!!!! :rofl1: "

I prefer Pit-huahua lmao. Or Pit-wawa. :p

Odd breed combo. They are like polar opposites. I love my little weirdo puppy!!!!

Seriously, from the photo in your sig it almost looks like her and Cricket could pass as sisters lol. Cricket doesn't look at all pittie though, but I'm pretty sure she might have some Chi thrown into her somewhere along with who knows what else, maybe some Whippet and possibly some Xolo DNA somewhere as well? I'll never really know.

Her head seems kinda different from Cricket's. I see NO Pit in Cricket, I can almost see it in my puppy. I've noticed that depending on the pics I compare they either look very similar or they don't look too similar other than basic build and color. Also with Pup if you look at her straight on she looks more bully-ish, but her side profile doesn't look like it at all. Sometimes you can really see a hint of bully in her, other times I look at her ad go "noooo, there's no bully in her." I almost see a hint of Shepard (dunno what breed) in Cricket's face.

I really wish we both knew what breeds our dogs are. I know it drives you as crazy as it's driving me!!! I want to know lol! If I had money to throw around I would get a breed DNA test. I know they suck, but it would be fun just for the hell of it.

It doesn't matter what they are, they are both awesome dogs but it would be nice to know what breeds make these "awesome dogs."

I totally hear you. It drives me nuts sometimes not knowing what Cricket is, but at the same time it's part of what makes them so unique and mysterious in a way. I get stopped everywhere by people wanting to know what Cricket is and I can almost gaurantee you that you will end up being stopped by people as well since your little girl is so unique and adorable.

I can't wait to see more pics of your girl and hear more about her. I'm a bit drawn to brindles.

Here are just a few pics from today, I ran out and got her a couple of cheap sweaters. I really really like the fleece one, for $5 it is amazing. I wish they made one big enough for Lacey, she doesn't really need it but pffft. :p I am going to get two more as spares.

I freaking HATE the pink one, I didn't think it would look too bad but ew it does. That is just too much pink for me! The other choices were baby blue or white. I don't know if the baby blue would be worse or not. White is just a ridiculous color for a coat, it would be so grimy looking after 3 mins. I got it just because it was also $5 and I can layer the two on cold nights. She will be getting a horse blanket type coat eventually (maybe a early christmas gift), now that I know it's not too hard to figure out her sizing.

I put the pink one over the fleece (forgot to take pics) and she was still cold. :rofl1: She was shivering and wanted me to carry/hold her.

And this is what Lacey thought about sweater pics:

Puppy: "Dog. You are weird. It's COLD and you are playing in nasty water!"

Puppy actually tried to play with Lacey yesterday. She bowed, ran up to Lacey, hopped up on two feet and landed right in front of Lacey. The amount of happiness in Lacey's face for that brief second was immeasurable. Kinda like this: XD

The only problem was that the noises that came out of the puppy's mouth next were so freakish that they scared ME. Lacey took it as "GET THE EFF BACK NOW! ROOOOOAR!" I took it as Puppy was about to tear into Lacey, that is honestly what it sounded like LOL. But her body language was bouncy playing puppy trying to initiate a chase session, just with demented dying demon noises. Lacey is verrrry sensitive, the demon noises scared the hell out of her LOL. Puppy did the same thing when Duke came over this afternoon. Duke shied away and left. I really need to get this on video, it's unbelievable. She sounds like what I would imagine a pissed off Fila would sound like. Seriously. Except it's her "playing with you" noises.

Puppy looked brokenhearted that no one wanted to play with her so I played bitey hands with her. And as long as we played she made the noises. So my plan is to start playing more bitey hands with her (I know, shame on me) and as soon as she makes wolverine noises I stop, turn around and ignore her. Repeat until she plays quietly with me consistently. I hope this will cross over to playing with dogs lol. Anyone have better ideas?

Thanks guys!

Does anyone see other breeds in her? I could be wrong, who knows. I am going to give it a bit then try to contact the person again to ask... again. pfffffft! If I pester the #$%* out of them, maybe they will tell me so I will leave them alone, LOL.

She needs just a liiiiiiiittle bit of weight, and muscle too. Except for her head, she slightly reminds me of a whippet minus the chest. It's extremely unlikely though, I've never seen a whippet around here.

Franken-dog (Frankenstein) just appears to be a little bit of everything. :)

Oooooo, another stripey dog! She's such a cutie! I'm glad you got her.

If Riley's ears stood up, he could be the big brother to your puppy and Cricket. :D

Nope, although I suspect there's a sighthound (maybe whippet or greyhound?) in there somewhere. Other people have guessed boxer and possibly pittie, but who knows?

His looks are deceiving - he doesn't look it but he's 24 inches tall at the withers and almost 65 lbs. I still call him the little Stripey Boy, though. :D

He does look smaller. She is only 18 1/2 inches tall (floor to withers) and 18-19 inches long (base of neck to base of tail) for now.

He can join the "mystery brindle mutt club anyway," he's too cute not to, haha! ;)
