noo--you waste part of the strawberry that way! That is not acceptable!
? How do you waste it? It goes straight from the strawberry into your mouth.

The only wasted thing is the calories spent in getting it there. As far as I'm concerned, that's exercise.

um no recipe needed . pull steem insert into mouth and chew!
Put me in this camp :)

Or with a drizzling of honey and some heavy cream.

If you MUST do something with them, freezer jam is not only easy, but this winter it will taste like fresh strawberries -- if you use the lower sugar recipe on the Certo package.

Everytime we have strawberries in the house I make strawberry shortcake. Just pick up a Bisquick box and the recipe is right on the back. :)

We just had a bowl of fresh strawberries w/cottage cheese for dinner :)

That wasn't the ONLY thing we had for dinner of course, haha, Kevin threw some kabobs on the grill (a few chicken/onion/pepper/tomato and a few beef/onion/pepper/tomato) and the strawberries w/cottage cheese afterwards seemed to compliment them nicely.

I LOVE homemade strawberry jam btw, I wish I had the gumption to cook some, just not in the mood........that and I don't really want to go out and pick a bunch of berries anytime soon! LOL

did you read the recipe? you have to hollow out a part of the strawberry--that is wasting it!

Coop, seriously, try the freezer jam! It's 1000X better than the cooked stuff. It still tastes like fresh strawberries, especially if you use the low sugar recipe. The only cooking is the Certo/sugar/water mixture and it is QUICK.

YAAAAAAAAAAA see now Zoom has the right idea LOL

I made some of the freezer Jam yesterday. you can make it with certo. The freezer jam has less sugar required to make it too.

it's sitting out setting (for 24 hours it says) but it still seems pretty liquidy :(

Have you had them with fresh strawberries? OMG. Frozen ones just lack in so many ways after that.

Crap, now I'm really wanting to make a batch of daquiris.
