a new wedding ring/band.
Mine is toooo thick and uncomfortable, and I never wear it because of this.
It is beautiful, but so uncomfortable.

I want an Art Deco styled band, simplistic and thinner, but they want SOOO MUCH MONEY FOR ONE.
Good lord, over $1,000 for a simple wedding band?
Really?

I may go plain silver for one at those prices!

I'm on the hunt.

IMHO, you don't want plain silver for a ring that you are going to wear every day for many years. Silver tarnishes easily and is quite soft, so it will bend easily.

I just did the same thing--bought a new wedding band because mine stuck up so much that the diamonds got knocked into too many things. When I started looking I was also shocked at how much things had gone up (the last time I priced jewelry was over 8 years ago).

I went to a jewelry outlet (they had rings with stones and just bands as well) and got one for what I thought was a pretty good deal and LOVE it....

This is the ring i got--it was on sale for $350!! And did I mention that I love it??!! If you hunt around I would think you would be able to find something cool in your price range...

1/2 ctw Round and Baguette Bar Band

Good luck!!

That's a beautiful ring. Did you get to try it on first? Going to a discount place is a great idea. If you're a little careful, you can get an excellent deal.

That ring is really pretty. But I have a nice diamond engagement ring that I don't wear because, unfortunately, it seems that if something has a stone or gem set in it, I have to bump it constantly. So, I feared I'd smack it onto something, and it'd come loose.
But I am going to bookmark that site and look around in a couple months.
I think I'm look for just a nice white gold or platinum band with a simple design carved in it. A little bit more than a plain band, but nothing too much. :D

Thank you:D. Yep, we have an outlet mall about 20 minutes away and they have a store there--we got a two year maintenance and diamond replacement plan and everything.

Keep in mind too that there are nice simple *men's* bands out there. My wedding ring is a simple tungsten one (for men) that cost all of $79 when I bought it 4 years ago. :) DH's is also tungsten, but with a carbon fiber inlay and I think his cost $90.

This is what my current wedding band is, and it's entirely too hard and bulky for my finger. I LOVE the wider bands, but it's too thick for my finger (not necessarily as too wide as it is too thick).
