I have my Bouvier puppy (yeah!) and want to get him a great leather collar. In my mind, I'm picturing leather, with colored stitching. Does this exist? How much should I expect to spend to get a quality collar? All suggestions welcome!

How much are you willing to pay?! :)

I really like Karma Collars a lot. Prices are right IMO and the quality is superb. They're my new favorite.

Paco Collars is always amazing but I do realize they're pricier. They're worth the cost most of the time, IMO, but I do tend to wait for sales etc.

Ella's Lead is probably the most customizable as far as colored leathers, monogramming, etc.

Oh check out Hilltop Leathers too.

Thanks! I will look into all of those options.

Now tell me, do leather collars get smelly? It's been a million years since I've used one .....

Jackson's Paco has been through *everything*. Water, mud, snow, etc, it doesn't smell and has held up very very well through the past almost 3 years now, I believe? It darkened up (the tan color always does anyway) but otherwise perfect.

Yea my dogs' leather collars and leashes take some abuse from the elements, but they have held up really well. From time to time I condition them and they're good as new. (Softer, really.)

Jules has been wearing his leather collar (Paco) for about 4 or 5 years as his only collar and it's odor free and holding up great :)

Ella's Lead, Bully Mart, Lizard Leather, and Crazy Rebels are some of my favorite leather collar makers.

I am also eager to order from Blue Lynx, once my self-imposed cool down from my previous couple of splurges is over.

Tell me about tag collars, and why you'd want one. They are beautiful. I assume you would use another collar when walking / training?

Blue Lynx will be where Brooks' tag collar comes from :) (he outgrew his last one)

I want a Blue Lynx for Badger so bad. From a health standpoint, I'm happy with slow growth. But the 'must buy all of the nice things' part of me just wants his neck to hurry up and finish.
