I need vibes

Our Helpdesk dude is out this week, so I have to drive that part of our business. I SUCK at this part of the Job. I am a "do it now" kind of guy, not one who delegates stuff.

(If you have ever taken a DISC profile, I am SUPER HIGH "D". Shocker, I know.)

Anyway, this means I have to get good at saying "I will have someone look at it ASAP.", instead of doing it.

So I need the vibes to avoid a nervous breakdown this week.

We had to take those for work and my "D" was really low--I was a very high "C" with my "S" nearly as high.

Looks like Im a C on the DISC test. We had to do some other personality test at work, I was an F on that test, I think was a SELF personality test.

As much as I prefer my hands on fixing things, it turns out I really dont care as long as it gets fixed.

Oh yeah, you'll do fine, just step back.

Just remember, the "D" is for DECISIVE, not dick. LOL I read the little analysis blurb about me. "Can come across as arrogant", kinda surprised me. But looking at it from above, it makes sense. But its not arrogance. It's "you hired us to do a job, get out of my way and let me do it, please."

Like all "D"'s, I want results. I could care less about the process of obtaining those results. So, as long as customer is happy, functional and I did not have to break any laws to complete the task, we be good 'mon'.

This also goes to why many people, especialyl on online forums, don't like me. Because I am always decisive. I get to the point so we can move on. That rubs many people the wrong way. Just as those who need to analyze EVERY little detail before they make a move, PISSES me off. LOL

The reason why I find the DISC thing so cool, is it teaches each type how to talk to those of another type. Very valuable in my line of work and thigns have gotten MUCH better since then.
