I spent the weekend in Mi

For the first time in 16 years I went into Gibraltar trade center and seen the most horrible disgusting thing

POLLY'S PETS!!!!!!

There had to be at least 50 puppies in little cages. It was disgusting

I am still angry. I told them how I felt and it wasn't nice I made a scene. While I was there was a little tiny puppy in convulsions in a small cage with a littermate trying to play with it. I said to the jerk that He had a sick puppy behind him. The jerk did not believe me and pulls the pup from the cage and sets it on the counter. Poor little thing has its back legs splayed and is fighting to stay upright as he try's to convince me it is OK Then the pup falls over again and starts convulsing again. At this point the ass finally believes me and pulls out a 3/4 used up tube of a type of glucose to bring the pup back around and try's to convince me it is normal for small pups to do this from low blood sugar. Well I lost it at that point and told him he was the scum of the earth and I hoped someday he would have to spend his life in a cage with holes in the floor to **** through and half starved without adequate water light and exercise and human contact.

IF THE poor pups were cared for properly from the begining it would not ever have low blood sugar.

I will never go there again and I want this place reported buy everybody I can find.

I also want to make as many people aware of this jerk as possible and maybe even the Gibraltar owners. Maybe if enough people get mad it might make the place get rid of him

This was at the Mount Clements location but the Taylor location is just as bad

Here is the e-mail to the Gibraltar trade center

GIBRALTAR TRADE CENTER, INC.
MT. CLEMENS, MI 48043
PHONE: 586-465-6440 FAX: 586-465-0458

GIBRALTAR TRADE CENTER, INC.
TAYLOR, MI 48180
PHONE: 734-287-2000 FAX: 734-287-8330
EMAIL: [email protected]

Maybe if enought negitive publicity is out there and people stop going th this market they will take action against this disgusting place

Unbelievable...yet all too common of an occurence..

Here in Ontaio we have similar places: Mauchs, PJ's pet stores, Trent Pet...I try not to go in there anymore...makes me too upset. Once went in PJ's & they were trying to sell a malformed bulldog for $1200. Most of the dogs in there were ridiculous mixed breeds are selling in the thousands of $...but don't worry-they have financing available! I could point out some health issue with pretty much every one of those dogs...:(

I am not familiar with your area? In London I only know of one store
that sells pets, but I have been told there is another as well.
I used to go into that store all the time and never realized they had
animals, they are tucked in the back where I thought it was just
a small animal section!
Sucks for Charlie because that is the only store where I can
find the chews for a good price, but I will not buy from them.
I can't seem to recall their name right now...

I would grab any police, any dog officer, anybody in your town who has the authority to do something, your local newspapers, ANYTHING to put these people out of business. Photograph what is going on, go for it. Just one person like you or me, can do something, you just gotta get the info out!
We have done similar things in our town, get the law involved. It works, though it does take some time. And we got results, big time.
Good luck,
Jane

If all of us would print out why people shouldn't buy from these places and give rescue and HS numbers to pass out ...it may help . When I was at Mister Bills or whatever , I only told people about Petfinder.com ..... I wish I had had it written down to hand out .

Thats what phone cameras are for, just get out and do it.
I used to be a 'link' to our local dog officer way back when my job took me over the back roads of our town. I would report and photo everything that even approached animal abuse.
You just have to do it. And thats another reason that I cannot be too involved now, as at my age, I have the urge to take the law into my own hands, like taking dogs in trouble right out of their yards. You can't do that nowadays.

This situation is really sad in third world countries, and places right here in poor sections of any country. And lots of rich Americans and Europeans are doing a lot to help animals in various countries and islands.
I cannot go into detail, but its much worse where there are ignorant and dirt poor people, as they dont seem to have compassion for other living things. And this can be in any country anywhere, so lets peak up our surveillance and get the ball rolling in your very own towns. Its everywhere and its up to people like us to report this, and stop what we can see.

Good job trying to get help for those little ones. It's just too bad that the wheels of justice usually run so slowly, some will die before they get help but that is about all you can do. At least you know you have tried to help them.

I live right down the street from the Taylor location. They're not nearly as bad, they usually only have one or two litters of puppies at a time. But my gosh, all the other animals they have... They're horrible. It's not the best area, right outside of Detroit, so most of them are little Pit Bulls. I don't go in there very often, but it makes me sick...
