Bobby (my brother) has a new girlfriend. For those of you who don't know, he has a MinPin he bought when he was 16. He gave the dog to me earlier this year, but took him back. Now he has a new girlfriend. I was at his house yesterday eating lunch and his girlfriend said, "I'm gonna put Leo outside and see if someone will steal him or if he gets hit by a car. And then we can get a Badoogle!".

:yikes:

I said, "WHAT?"

She thought I was asking what a Badoogle is and told me. Designer dog, obviously. She then went on to tell me yesterday she put him outside and he almost got hit by a car! She told me she was HOPING he would and was disappointed when she saw the car had missed him! She then put Leo outside hoping he would get killed or stolen! I went outside and grabbed them and called Bobby and told him to expect calls about adopting Leo. He was fine with it. Now Leo is looking for a new home. I'm not going to take him to a shelter. I worked at one and will never take a dog there. Rescue or not it is NOT somewhere a dog needs to be. I would adopt him myself, but my mom doesn't want him because he's not potty trained. DUH, because he never got to go outside when he was living in an apartment!

Anyone want a sweet, cat/kid/dog friendly Min Pin? :(

Your brother needs to RUN FAST away from that one..the dog needs a human restraining order. She should be locked up.

Is he neutered? Is he not potty trained as in he has accidents or he marks?
How old is he?

Leo is 3 years old, he is a purebred, Bobby bought him for $300 when he was 16. He is not neautered and the only reason he has accidents is because he does NOT get to go outside. He has to either use the carpet, bath tub, or litterbox as a potty. Honestly, the only time he steps foot out of that house is when I take him for runs. I go to Bobby's house three times a week just to take Leo outside. When he lived with me, he pottied inside twice, but when he realized he got to go run around outside all the time during the day, he immedietly started going outside and didn't have anymore accidents. He is great with dogs of all sizes, great with cats, likes kids and loves teenagers. He LOVES sleeping under the blankets. Bobby used to let him sleep under the blankets with him every night but since they moved and he got this new girlfriend, Leo isn't even allowed in his room. He is a sweetheart and is always wagging his little tail; and definetly a cuddler. He has tons of energy and LOVES to go for runs. He likes to go swimming. He doesn't know how to fetch but he is very smart and I taught him to sit and heel in a matter of minutes. He is scared of Bobby's girlfriend and hides behind the couch from her when she calls him. When she tried to grab him, she literally said, "Haha he's scared of me because he knows I'll beat the sh*t out of him".

Here are some pictures of him:

Leo and my two dogs, Leo is up on the top of the couch. ;)

He looks like a little sweetheart. I had a red min pin who would be 4 in September but he darted out of the house when I lived in Michigan and straight into traffic :(. He was absolutely MY dog that no other dog can ever top...and I have always wanted another. I loved his energy, his attitude, and how he loved to burrow in the blankets with me

I'm sorry that happened. :( That must have been heartbreaking. Leo really does sound JUST like him. He loves to burrow under the blankets!

And Renee, I agree. She treats animals like crap, and then thinks she's gonna get a new puppy and he's gonna be perfect? Ugh.

I'm so sorry.

Even someone that isn't the most avid dog/animal lover would be shocked by her attitude.

You might just tell her if Leo gets run over or injured you will call animal control and report what she said to them and she will get prosecuted and will not be able to get her designer dog! I can not believe your brother would go for someone trying to injure an animal. You might inform him that people who injure animals eventually graduate to injuring humans and they start with someone close to them!

We've got PA covered! lol And honestly, my friend got a new Benz and loves to drive... I'm pretty sure I could talk him into a pretty lengthy leg if we could crate the dog ;)

Er, Op Roger? If they'll transport two rescue rats from L.A. to Portland(that's sixteen hours, folks ;)), surely they could arrange something from WA to NY!
