I haven't been a member of Chazhound for long but in that time I can honestly say, I have had enough and have decided to leave.

I have been given bad advice by people, practically been accused of being a BYB and I have seen people asking for advice from people who have had experience in something only to have people who have had not had experience making incorrect postings on the subject.

I do not want to be part of a forum that treats some of its members this way.

I have gone through all of your posts(they have that option in the profiles) and I cannot see why you think people have treated you so badly.

This is the second time you have said you are leaving, for no reason in my opinion. If you can't handle Chaz....well maybe you shouldn't be on forums because this place is not like any other.

I can honestly say I remember none of your posts.

But, if you feel that we are too critical of you, then by all means if you are not comfortable and don't feel welcome, then I wouldn't stick around either.
This is only an online forum, maybe you shouldn't take things so personal.

And a Byb is pretty much detected on smell alone. If it smells like poop, it usually is.........But I am not referring to you since I am unfamiliar with your posts.

But, anywhoo, I wish you the best,

Julie.

Are you serious? Compared to any other forum I've ever been to, Chaz has been the most welcome and nice.

What exactly happened? I don't recall ever even seeing you post...

Oh well, good luck.

You are right this is not like any other. I will stick to the other dog forum I am a member of where the people are friendly and you get good and correct advice. Thye people there do not pass judgement nor do they jump to conclusions.

I am not just talking about the way people have replied to my posts. I had appologies for what was posted on one of my previous posts and was asked to stay. I told them I would give it another go which I did but not anymore.

Maybe it is the way you treat people in your country but it is not the way we treat people on a forum.

I am new and I think the folks here are pretty nice, and I have gotten some great advice.

What is Byb? Here in the South, byb means 'bring your own bottle' usually signed on party invitations or at ice houses, which are places that sell setups but no booze. (I don't drink but I know these things anyway). And somehow that doesn't fit here.

BYB means Back Yard Breeder.

I can agree with some of norskgras comments.

Thanks.

I think people here really love their dogs, and most of them love dogs in general. So many people here have strong opinions about dog care and that is not a bad thing.. I think a lot of what is taken for dissing someone is not really that, it is someone stating an opinion they feel deeply.

IMHO if both sides don't get their hackles up, a difference of opinion can be turned into a learning experience, and you can make a friend not a foe if you really look at what the other person is saying and realize they are saying it because of their care for dogs, even if sometimes they are a little 'rough around the edges'.

Well, maybe when you don't agree with something you could say so? I've been given bad advice many times too, not only about dogs, but when I don't agree I post my opinion so we can discuss things and try to understand a little more the problem. I've been proven wrong, too.

About the BYB thing, I read your posts again and I don't think you are one (I think I posted so too). Plus I think you took it wrong, nobody said you were one, just that we get too many of them here.

But anyway, I agree that if you're not comfortable in a forum, you should leave. That being said, just having an argument with one or two people doesn't mean that the others don't give good advice and are not nice people.

It would really help if we were given examples. I read through just about every thread and post here and I can't think of one specific post by you other than your introduction. So I hope that you give us another chance, but if not, then thanks for stopping by!

I haven't seen too many of your posts, in which ones did people accuse you of being a BYB? From what I have seen of your posts you seem to be a very nice person. I understand how you feel, being attacked...I've felt that way here a couple of times.

So far, this is the best forum. I have been one the members here are so mature they do not talk about you or give you attitude. Until I made that, I am a lesbian post.So chaz is ok with me.

Sheesh...nobody's perfect. Humans tend to give bad advice sometimes. Making this whole pointless thread was a really good idea. Gee, you're smart.

Is it just me, or does 'worried' and 'norskgras' seems like the same person? *shrugs*
