Thanks so much, everyone! Labor was very intense... Had my midwife been checking my dilation and letting me know it hadn't progressed in 12 hours, I would've made the decision for a hospital transfer sooner

She kept telling me I was in the transition stage and was so close... But in actuality Nora was very stuck and contractions were doing nothing to help.
I am so thankful we're both okay! The worst part about the c-section has been the recovery time for sure. It being major surgery is no joke! I feel like I'm finally feeling more like myself now, though, even though I still have some pain.
At first I was really sad about the c-section since I planned so much for a natural birth... But really, all that matters is that Nora came out safely. I felt very comfortable with the medical staff at the hospital, and everyone treated me wonderfully. We were joking about eating placentas as they stitched me up in the OR, haha. The weirdest part about the surgery was being awake and feeling all of the tugging/pulling as they dislodged Nora from my pelvis.
