Thanks. :) Doesn't she have the sweetest face? We could NOT leave her there, or dump her at the pound, with her looking at us like that.

Aunt J (hehe, she already has a few silly nicknames) is doing so well. She's noticeably more energetic and happy already. She is winning me over, but I really can't have a permanent third dog right now. :( I will make sure she goes to a really special home that allows me to visit her all of the time, that's for sure.

I will pick up some Nutrical today. She does have a ridiculous appetite, but it should help! I'm feeding her lots of canned food with some TOTW and chicken breast for extra calories.

Do you think GSD? What kind of hound? She has such a quintessential Pittie face. I have never seen a black and tan Pit Bull, though.

What a sweet looking girl. Glad you saved her. She will be much happier with you than that A$$ who threw her away. People like that should never be allowed to have pets.

Oh, she is gorgeous! What a lucky girl to have found her way into your home. I do worry about the other pittie in his truck, but I'm glad Jem is on her way to a happier, healthier life. Thank you for taking her in; she sure looks like she's going to be worth the effort!

I'm so glad you were there when that jerk dumped her. You can already see how much better she feels in the pictures. Went from completely tail tucked at the beginning, to wagging and the end of them :)

She's a beautiful little girl. Bless you for taking her in! I hope everything goes well for her and you, as well. She looks like she may have GSD, maybe some kind of hound in her, I think that was said above? Anyway, she's a cute little girlie! :)

I think she's some sort of hound mix as well. The black & tan saddleback is not a coat color that in 'pit bulls'.

But she is a cutie!

Well done you for taking her in. Keep her ;)

Yup, I see GSD mix because of the colouring... I'm not sure what other dogs have that kind of coat so I'm not sure where else she might have gotten that. I think she's a Heinz 57 - but whatever she is, she is CUTE! I'm so glad you were there, right time and right place to save this little one!

Um. From someone who fostered a Pittie?

You've got a new dog
I actually thought of Tallulah when I saw her. Not exactly in looks, but in the general circumstances. I hope she's as healthy as Lulah soon! :)

GGAHHgsgblarg. Do not jinx me!!!!

People like that should never be allowed to have pets.
More like: People like that should be castrated.

You can already see how much better she feels in the pictures. Went from completely tail tucked at the beginning, to wagging and the end of them
Jemima is so much happier already, now that she's getting food and attention. She's so appreciative! I wonder how long it has been since she got a hug... because she's getting as many as she can now.

I think she's some sort of hound mix as well. The black & tan saddleback is not a coat color that in 'pit bulls'.
Really? She seems pretty small for a hound mix. What type of hound do you guys think? I'm completely ignorant to most scenthound breeds. Except for Beagles and such.

If that was here he'd have been prosectuted.

What an utter evil person....... I dread to think what'll happen to the other dog he has :(

Well done you for taking her in. Keep her ;)
I wish I lived there, then!

It's so depressing knowing that lowlife put her through so much pain and neglect, but even moreso because he is getting away with it. I'm sure he doesn't feel any remorse or guilt, and I'm sure he sleeps soundly at night. :( The police said that they only handle "cruel and unusual" cases... I guess starving a dog nearly to death is not cruel or unusual?

Adorable! Way to go for bringing her home.

I thought GSD. I also thought about Bella because of her weight. Bella was never that bad, but she was pretty **** close. It's sickining how people can do this. I hope that poor girl sticks with you, or finds a great home.

What a lucky pup to have found such a great human! The beginning of her life may have been harsh and cruel but at least she can now flurish and find a great home.

Cant wait for more updates and of course pics,

Kayla

:( That's horrible. I'm so glad you were there though, Erica! I'm sure she'll be looking and feeling better in no time with your care!
