I. <3. My. Dyson.

I just got it today... OMG.. can't even describe it.. it's freakin' amazing. I vacuumed ONE carpet (the nastiest one in the house, but still) and have filled the container. The carpet looks amazing, better than when it was new.

On the bad side, I am now broke, as I paid half of it. All the money I've saved up for years and not used is gone. Oh well. The other half is being "paid" by vacuuming my dad's study and bedroom, which I normally avoid at all costs because.. well. they're the dirtiest carpets in the house, and I'm sorry, but they're nasty. Buttt.. it's MINE! ALL MINE! And that means I can take it with me everywhere and don't have to leave it at home when I go to college.. bwhahaha... they can keep their crappy old vacuum.. I get my awesome one! YAY!

And now you all an tell people you know a teenage girl who is not only excited by, but paying for, her own vacuum cleaner. And using it. Good god I'm a freak.

...can I borrow it? I want one soooo badly since mine is a little bitty POS and I have to stop and empty the container after vaccuming a 5x5 section of carpet. It takes me FOREVER to clean.

zoom, you still have to empty the nasty canister with a dyson. i'm glad you like your vacuum dear, but i'll take my kenmore over a dyson any day. i'm opinionated about vacuums. and it's sad.

LOL Zoom--sure, move to VA. (I AM sorry about your vacuum, though.. you can usually find decent old tanks at yard sales/craigslist and stuff.... most people, when they get a new one, chuck the old one.)

Okay, I vacuumed more. It's amazing. Absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I'm going to marry it, LOL!

There is soooo much fur and dust... it's unbelievable. Enough Emma-hair to make me wonder if how much fur she loses is healthy.

Mindy, I don't mind emptying cannisters, I just hate having to do it every 30 seconds. And having to vaccum four times in a row to get everything up because it's not powerful enough to do much on the first round.

Yup, have a Dyson, too... It was a Christmas present from the family a couple of years ago. (I wonder if they were trying to say something about our perpetually furry carpets? Lol!)

Congrats on the new vacuum! I love my Dyson. I got my "Animal" last year for basically half price. It was used. It works great! I actually vacuum my house now. ~LOL~

Let me tell you that I was enthralled until I bought a Rainbow. MUCH better vacuum than the Dyson will ever be.

I vacuumed the whole downstairs.. sooooooo much crap it got up. It's actually frightening. I had no idea things were so unclean. My only (admittedly minor) complaint is that when I vacuum it doesn't leave the carpet looking nearly as neat as the old one did.. there are plastic ridges on the bottom and it leaves lines. It's a silly thing to be peeved about but still. lol.

Miakoda, if a Rainbow is better than a Dyson I'm going to cheat on my Dyson, I think.. lol.
