Not sure what I did wrong the first time I wrote and thought I posted our intro, but...well...here goes again
My name's Cindy, and I'm honored to have LuLu (yellow lab...mix?), and KiKi (tortoise shell kitty). LuLu was a rescue, and I've had her for about 10 years or so. She's somewhere between 12 and 14 yrs old...my old gal! She's a love, and has been one of the most devoted pets I've ever had. KiKi is a year old now, and she was a rescue, as well. She's an ornery lil booger, but adores her LuLu. Can't say the feeling's mutual...chuckles...but Lu tolerates poor KiKi.
I had another dog, Missy, who was a Sheltie/Australian Shepherd mix. Sweetest girl you'd ever meet. I had to put her to sleep the end of June because she had inoperable cancer. Missy was almost 9 yrs old, and I'd had her since she was a pup. We miss her a great deal.
I'm getting a new puppy next week...a German Shepherd. I'm really excited about this addition to our family, and a tad anxious about the rest of the crew accepting a new pup so soon. Though I'm very aware of the potential challenges of a German Shepherd...and a puppy...and introducing a new family member, I'm still looking forward to bringing the pup home. I'm going back to the breeders tomorrow to choose...or get chosen by...our new pup.
Looking forward to participating, and reading all the great information here.
