I was wondering how old everyone's dog is here, and what kind of breed it is?

Do you guys ever think about your dog's age and get emotional or worried all of a sudden? I'm SOOO attached to my dogs, it sometimes brings tears to my eyes when I think that one day they will be gone...dog's don't live as long as some other animals do...it makes me very sad and uncomfortable sometimes. Share your feelings on this..

By the way, my Chihuahua, Dudek, will be turning 10 years on March 21st...and my Pittie, Messina, will be turning 6 years on August 28th.

I worry about my dogs getting old as well =/ I just keep trying to tell myself to appreciate the time that they are here, and to not worry about it.

I have 3 chihuahuas. Madison turns 2 in April, Rylie is 18 months old, and Chloe just turned 1 in February.

Hannah just turned 2 and she's a labrador retriever. I worry about her the most she has a bad hip and temperment issues.

Holly will be 8 months old tomorrow and she's a bernese mountain dog. I don't worry about her as much but with all their health problems I do sometimes get scared.

Ele is 4 months old and she is a collie. I don't worry about her I think she'd survive a nuclear holicost (sp?). It'll just be her and the roaches!

Tango (nsdtr mix) is 4yrs old. I do sometimes wonder what I'm ever going to do without her, and worry about the day that I won't have her. Especially since one of her littermates just recently passed away at 3.5 yrs old...

Winston (Dobe) is almost 9yrs old, Morgan (Rottie) is 17mths, and Tia (Dachshund) is 7.5yrs. I don't worry about them as much as they're the family dogs (well, mainly my mom's dogs) and I'm not closely bonded to them like I am Tango but sometimes I worry. Especially being that Winston probably only has a few more years left, being the breed he is and poorly bred.

Ronan (Siberian Husky) turns 5 in April and Oceano (Siberian Husky) just turned 4 this past February. Im very at peace with death whether it be of a human or animal. Yes I will miss them but life wouldnt be so special if we all lived forever. I just do what I can to make our time together the best it can be.

Eve and Dakota are Border Collies. 15 weeks and 2.5 years old, respectively. Ripley is a Papillon, 3 years old.

I have to say that I worry the most about Ripley. It feels like the time I've had with him has just flown by.

Rumor is a 2 year old Doberman Pinscher.

I have to say I'm extremely worried about her getting older. After watching my previous Doberman just drop dead in front of me while playing, I just don't want to think of that ever happening to Rumor. We have an amazing bond, and I hate to think that some day, she won't be around anymore.

We recently dealt with the loss of one of ours. It's been almost 2 months now and I still think about her all the time, but with the addition of our new pup, it's not on my mind as much.

Our current pack:
Bruzer, pug, 5 years old
Gunnar, GSD, 2 years old
Daisy Mae, Great Dane, 16 weeks old.

Bailey (Staffordshire Bull Terrier) is 2 years and 1 month.
I haven't started to worry about losing him yet...although i have noticed that he's getting a little grey under his mouth already.

Wally: Greyhound 7.5
Mike Hunt: Akita/pit bull 3(?)
Athena: Alapaha 16 weeks

I always worry about Wally getting old on me. He's my main man!! And with Athena, I can't wait until she grows up! Puppies are cute, and all, but I'm more of a fan of adult dogs.
