How much does your gas bill run?

I have propane heating, cooking and hot water. I have a 500 gallon tank buried in my yard. They fill it probably 3 times a year. Now that propane is below 2 bucks a gallon, it's not too bad (last bill was for 262 bucks). I've had bills close to $1000 last season when gas was really skyrocketing and propane jumped above 3 bucks a gallon around here.
So, I don't actually have a monthly gas bill. I get 3 maybe 4 bills a year for anywhere from 300 to 800, all depending on the going rate for propane and how much I use it.

When we had natural gas at our old house it was usually around $300. a month during the winter, but I think the biggest bill was $400. for one month. The house was old, huge, and very drafty!
We now live in a new house with total electric, our electric bill was $70. this month........ thanks to our wood furnace and some manual labor. We heat our basement also, so total heated square footage would be about 2400 sq feet. Plus we have 2 refrigerators and 2 freezers "running" lol.

I haven't read this all through, but I live in MN...and my combined bill for Dec. which was a 33 day billing cycle was 225.00. I thought this was high for one month even with the extra day. This includes gas and electric. Still very high...I feel like if I project this too the next two months my bills will be in the 300.00 + range, which I don't understand because gas is so cheap right now. Sure, a different form, etc. when they bought it, etc. I just don't notice much of a change between 3.49 car gas vrs. 1.79 car gas vrs. my home heating bill and this doesn't seem right.
we use oil, which was very expensive this past summer. luckily we only needed a bit over 100 gals. to top off our tank. since installing a woodstove, we've only needed the furnace to run maybe twice in the early mornings. wood is free, some cost for gas to run the logsplitter, and a lot of physical work....but we are loving it. it's warmer than we've ever been. however, it works well for us because our house is small, open floor plan (like an A-frame interior), and the stove is central. (I'm sure most homes it would only heat the room it was in) had the pricey cost of the woodstove this year, but soon as oil climbs again (and it will) it will pay for itself in no time. I like the look of the woodstove, too. glass doors so we still have the fire to enjoy. most important to us is we never have to worry about being warm if the power goes out.
