There's been quite a few Chaz meetups over the years. Who have you met?

And as nice as it was to meet you, I must say I was *really* happy to meet Ocean (I think it was Ocean that was hanging out half on my lap?). Rotties are one of the few breeds that, for no valid reason, I tend to be kind of intimidated by, and oh my gosh he was such a sweetheart. What a wonderful dog. It was good desensitization for me :).

I know I will be at all the Rhode Island trials again next year, barring some sort of catastrophic incident. I may actually try to go to some of the ones in CT at Paws and Effect. I was checking out the ring in some videos recently, and found out that their matting is the kind Gusto likes. It's right at the limit of my drive time for a regular trial, but still...it is possible.

I am actually surprised we haven't stumbled across each other yet at some event someplace. :confused: It would be really cool to meet up in person!! Do you ever go to the Springfield shows or anything in RI??

That was Ocean. :p I can understand why people can be intimidated by them...they are large, powerful dogs and sometimes they can have sharp temperaments. I'm going to start bringing Lars back to agility on a part time basis in Veterans in USDAA because he will be 8 in the beginning of December. You'll love him....he is like a Golden Retriever in a black and tan coat. He LOVES everyone and everything. Well, except Wendy C.'s Charlie the Border Collie after he snarked hard at Lars once when he was coming out of a ring. Lars has never forgotten that and he carries a grudge. :eek: LOL

Paws and Effect has great flooring and they have a set up where the only dog near the ring is in the ring due to space constraints. That works well with Ocean because his drive stays more even keel. That will work great for Lars too because it will be more run thru like instead of trial like where he blows into the stratosphere. :yikes: The one thing about Paws and Effect is their parking situation SUCKS. There is no room to park and the facilities neighbors will not allow anyone from the trials to park in their lots. That's the one thing that I really don't like about the place. I get there are as early as I can to get a spot...and it's an almost 2 hour drive for me. Yea....leaving the house at 5am. :(

I'm sorry, I don't know if I can be friends with anyone, human or canine, who doesn't think Charlie is the greatest thing on four legs. I would consider it an honor to get snarked at by him. It's like Mean Girls. "One time, he snarked at me coming out of the ring. It was awesome."

That's good to know about the parking at Paws and Effects. Luckily I am biologically driven to be an hour early for everything, so that hopefully wouldn't be a huge deal for me. And I dream of being able to leave the house at 5 and get to a trial. I only have about 3 sites I can even consider getting to if I don't go the night before. I went to Sugarbush Farm for the day on Saturday, woke up at 2:50, and was on the road by 3:30 am. CT would definitely be a "go down the night before" trial for me. With All Dog's off the table for Gusto, because he can't handle the mats there, my trials are more limited than I would like. I'll have to see what else they have at P&E. I know there is a New Years trial, but I'm not sure I want to deal with that drive in possible snow conditions and definite drunk people conditions. So we are basically out of trials until February now :(.

Aww, I actually drove down last year to watch some friends and shop. What an event that is!
