Puppies... I assume there's something unpalatable about your local shelter? I know it's puppy season, but maybe you could get on Petfinder and contact some shelters/rescues in the Northeast. Up here, a lot of shelters take dogs, especially puppies, from other (rural) areas where there are more unneutered dogs and fewer shelters/adopters. More dogs get homes, and more dog-wanting homes get dogs.

They are adorable. You really cleaned them up nice.

Awww, they are adorable... I don't know how any one could do that! Try contacting your local animal shelter and see if they can take them in, some animal hospitals will also find homes for kittens and puppies so you could try calling some clinics... Our local pet store will even take in stray puppies and sell them, but the bad thing about that is they will sell them to anyone and not ask them questions... Good luck with them, I hope they find a loving home.

I called our local no kill shelter and she said due to the number of puppy mills she picks up "not up to standard" litters She has at the least two a week. So she said she cannot take them unless its a life or death cituation. She said to stand at walmart and pick an choose:rolleyes: SO We are going but only to take applications ///numbers and reason for wanting puppies. Are neighbor may take one. I know we had a bunch of puppy mills .. you can see them when you drive down the highway rows and rows of cages with mothers and puppies and a side ways barral for shelter:eek: .... Its really bad here.

confused me for a second there. I know no one was replying last night, now there are messages all over the place. :)

Did you call the shelters and places in Springfield, MO? What did they say?
Any calls or emails from anyone yet?

I wouldn't hold to much faith in what she said. She's your local shelter. Springfield is supposed to be more "open" about situations and willing to help.

Go online and look up "breeders in Springfield, MO". Go through the list and email all the people on there. Tell them the story and send pics. Someone within 70 miles of Springfield (or Ava) is bound to help out. If none of the contacts or shelters work out put up flyers and an ad in the paper for "2 free mix puppies...need homes ASAP". Put up flyers at Wal-Mart, grocery stores, gas stations, etc. I know it's not desired but if they need a home that quickly you have to do what you have to do.

She was at peace. Went right to sleep! She has two kids that she loves to play with to.. (discovered they like young kids....got along great with our 1 and 4 year old!) Still have the male. He is almost ivisible.. thats how quiet he is lol... so small ... but I have a man... not so sure about him.... Im Supposed to go over his house tomorrrow and see if he is alright for him.

Good! It sounds like the girl will be very happy. What's got you worried about the guy though? It sounds like you don't think he'd be right for the little boy.

because of the trauma from being dumped Im sure he will be a full time job. ANd he works from the afternoon till 12:00 (I dig deep) dont know if hes married or has kids go figure I ask the lil things but forget the lil ones. That is the imporrtance of going to see him tomorrow to figure it all out.

If he's married or there are kids old enough to properly watch/feed/play with him, he'll be o.k. Unless maybe the guy could bring the pup with him to work? :)

I dont think they were litter mates I think someone picked up to pups and got sick of them... He does not try to nurse my dog.. Loves his kibble. And he even knows the command sit... Truly a sad life for a puppy... Just makes you want to pick him up and hug him. OOOOooo and the worms him and his sis had YUCK:eek: .. I called the lady who took the female today. She said man what did you do train her b4 you gave her to me...lol She named her Lady. And she wants to keep her forever. She is so good with her kids... Just makes me smile to have a happy home for her.
Time will tell on the male...

Very Cool! :) It's good to hear that the girl has a good home.

Well, it seems like if no one wants the boy you and your family might get to keep him. ;)

weird story about the hamster but here goes.
My dog loves the hamster...
Well shiloh (thats what we named him) was napping on my lap and I was playing with nibbles (the hamster) well I put him down to see what shiloh would do and to my shock he flew forward and bit him  cant blame him he probobly thought it was a toy:rolleyes:
Were working on his potty training...

Update!!!!!
We decided to peek into the classifieds and online ads and our trading post (radio show where you call in and say why you have forsale/trade/free. Well My mom came across a local person who is giving away min pin mixes. Sooo tomorrow I play snoop and Im going to call them and be like a nosy buyer.
How many puppies in the litter
any other puppies born at your house.
describe her puppies blah blah blah
then check if she had records of who all took her puppies ... then snoop some more and maybe whoever it is will help me track the dumper down.. maybe even some abuse/neglect charges would be nice for the dumper.

Did you see who dumped the pups? A truck, person, something? If she's giving them away she probably won't have any records, but it's worth a shot. She could have been the one to get rid of him in the first place, ya never know. It could be that the girl WAS his sister (dogs can have different fathers) so if she has any that are white/brown like her you may have something to go on.
You could really have fun and find out where she lives and bring Shiloh with you. Keep him in the car til you see the other pups. If they look like him, or her, bring Shiloh out and ask if she knows who she gave him to.
