when my black lab (3 months) doesn´t want to walk anymore, she just lays down. she has me stumped, i just drop the leash and then she gets up and follows me. i think i am starting a bad habit. ALSO, i am having trouble house breaking her. she doesn´t seem to get the difference between outside and inside, or maybe she just cant hold it at all. today we went outside for over an hour waiting and as soon as she came in she went pee. what can i do?

hmmm, how old did you get her and how long have you been with her? Has any of your house routine change? Where did she used to do her poo poo & wee wee before this thing start.
Maybe if you could give a little more information, alot of people sure can try to help you solve this.

3 months is still very young. How far are you walking? And what are you doing to housebreak her?

When your dog lays down I would just calmly stand and wait with her, don't force her to get up and walk though. Just wait a few minutes and then say "come on (whatever puppy's name is)". Our standard used to be like that she would walk and then just sit down and give us this look like "ok, I've had enough". As for the potty thing, do you crate train? Someone here had suggested this to me and I find it works very well. I will let my puppy out to play for ten minutes then crate for twenty and after the twenty minutes the puppy goes right outside for potty. Then once it goes it comes back in for another ten minutes of play and after the ten minutes goes in the crate for twenty. Once it gets reliable with ten minutes (after about 3-4 days for mine) then I would up it to fifteen and then twenty and so on and so forth until it was holding it half an hour without having to be crated. It sounds like a pain in the butt but it's not really hard at all once you get used to it.

i have had her only for a week. i am in chile and i got her from a home in the south. unfortunatly we are moving around a lot right now, but soon we will have a more defined schedual. i imagine it is not the easiest on her, but she is really a great dog. maybe i should consider the crate? but you do this rutiene all day?
