ok ahile ago a female mutt... I dont know what she is or even what she has in her but anyways she was dumped and it looked like the neighbor down the road ( I live in the country when i say down the road I mean down the road) anyways it looked like he adopted her into his family. well well at sometime in either Dec or Jan I drove by his house and saw dozens of suiters with this dog. all I could do was shake my head. welll he is moving and has informed us she is now our problem. my parents wont tolerate her b/c she is a chicken killer and want sto eat our chickans but I work further down the road at a dairy farm and she seems to have chosen to stay there and I have been feeding her (even when I thought she was our neighbors) and now that I know she is mine to deal with I went out and bought her a collar and food dishes and bought some pedigree puppy food to help supliment her. b/c I no she hasnt been fed enough up till now. she is bulging with puppies. She has taken up to chasing the calves and pregnant cows so the man I work for will shoot her if she hurts a cow so I have her penned up to protect the cows and her. How can I tell how far along she is?is anyone here willing to give her a more appropriate home. I am willing to give her all the care I am aloud to give her (my parents dont want another dog) I am willing to add her to my list of animals I work to support. I do not want to invite a huge vet bill. I have succesfully raised two litters of puppies so I know the loops. I named her Shylene b/c she is quite shy.

I also have another dumped dog he is brown and gold.. I am thing maybe a chocolate lab X golden retriever. SOmeone went through alot of hassle to train him.( he know how to sit and shake paw)... I think he was a hunting dog. he is also at my work. He is blind in one eye (possible reason for dumping) he retrieved a dumped chickan for me (scary experience I thought it was dead till he dropped it when I told him to ant the chickan got up and walked away. I cought the chickan not a feather out of place not even wet I named her muffin she lives with my other chickans now. He also loves to come bug my dad and retrieve my ducks ofr him but my dad thinks he is killing them so he is banned from my house. (but he comes snooping atround for me,.. and with stop any interest in cat or bird with a simple raising of my voice. I named him Scout b/c of his great abbilities. He was badly abused and will fall over backwards with any fast movement or yelling in his direction. he goes into a play dead formation tail between his legs eyes closed. Its truly sad.

well if anyone wants either or has any helpful advice I will be very indetered. I may not be on much I have to use a friends pc b/c mine blew up I am saving or another one though it looks now like the purchess is farther away in the future than it was b4.

If I were you I would advertize these dogs with pictures on craigslist.com and petfinder.com. You will probably have better luck. Make sure you do not give them away for free and make sure that you have them spayed and neutered before going home, puppies included! There are low cost vet clinics all over and there may be one near you or you might be able to get a low cost certificate to alter them. Then you can charge an adoption fee to make up for the amount you spent on the neutering and spaying. I think it is great that you have the female penned up. Especially since she is about to have babies. I woul not let her out unless she is leashed until she is spayed.

Mandie,
It sounds as though your plate is full! Even an animal lover can't save every one.... Do what you can do and that is all you can do. When you have parents behind you with the last word, there is not much more you can do.
I wish I were closer........

Best of Luck
And I am sending good vibes your way!

The only other thing I can think of is to call local rescue groups...and it might take 50 calls to get a response, not just one.

The best thing to do would be to have the pregnancy terminated by a vet and then have her spayed so it doesn't happen again. Most puppies like this won't make it past their first year and the costs of taking care of those puppies will be enormous. If they do not receive veterinary care they will almost certainly die and they won't die peacefully. Are your parents willing to foot the bill for puppy care? If not, ending it now may be the most humane and cost-effective thing to do.

Talk to a vet. Most will be very helpful in weighing options and working with you on costs to keep them manageable.

That is the most repulsive thing I ever heard. I do not stand for any form of abortion. also puppies like these will make it just fine past a year, look how many ppl on this forum have mutt pups that are doing just great. Like I said I have raised two litters of puppies the first being a litter just like this one (a man dumped a pregnant dog on the side of the road I took her home). And I have a job and I am willing to use every cent towards the health of these puppies.(thats why I got this job so I could help animals whether it be my own or other animals that just need a lil extra tlc) I believe in giving something my all and that is exactly what I plan to do for this dog and her pups.I came her for help on how to give her the care these puppies need not how to back out of the responsibility.

Ty Jason els.
I am going to give them my best.
As to scout (the half blind male) How can I be sure he has no sight in his one eye? his pupil is cloudy in his left eye.

Here are some pics. I had my friend try to get them to pose for me lol!

This is the female I have named her Shylene (the pregnant one) I could scream at the person who dumped her.

What do you guys think she is????

This is the other dumped dog (the half blind one) I think he may be some sorta Lab Mix. .... Im not sure though he definatly is a bird dog and was trained to retrieve birds just ask my chickens and ducks.

You didn't say where you live (or maybe I didn't read it all properly). Good luck. Puppies are such a handful. You're a good person.

Thanks for the update Mandie! And I'm so glad you took them in. I cringe thinking about what would happen to the mom and pups had someone not taken them in.
So glad the male found a home.
