Has Chaz slowed down in posts? Or is it me?

I'm back after a long hiatus and it just seems the forum is not as "busy" as it used to be? Is that just me? It's only been a couple days, it just seems much quieter than I remembered

Yes, it has slowed down considerably. There's been a push in the last few weeks to post more topics but it's just not nearly as busy as it was back in the day...

Everyone who posted frequently went and had babies :rofl1:

I've always seen Chaz's activity ebb and flow.

There is less discussion in threads. More posting what you like... There is some but its far less.

Also with chat down I feel I don't know the new chazzers nearly as well. I really miss chat.

We've also decided that overall Chaz is way more laid back anymore. You used to be able to start a discussion/fight with very little work and now everyone is just cool with whatever makes you and your dogs happy.

Way harder to ruffle feathers.

But, the quick reply needs to come back and the giant clump threads need to die.

I check back in once in a while and I think it's slowed down. FB hasn't though XD

But for me life's just been crazy and while I still enjoy reading threads I don't really have as much time to post like I use to.

I don't even think I ever ended coming back and updating everyone after posting I didn't feel good and was super stressed last year.

Ended up having congestive heart failure and was slowly drowning myself. Also found out had high blood pressure and diabetes at the same time. So last year has been kind of crazy.

I feel like if quick reply was back, more people would post more often, still. Even though I know people say how the questions aren't a big deal as they only take a couple seconds. I know before it was brought up people still preferred posting with the quick reply. Including myself. I NEVER used anything but the quick reply in the past for threads. I've just never been a fan of the reply button and being loaded onto another screen, for some reason. Meh!

Agreed.
The giant clump threads began as a way to get people to post at all, even just little things since the forum was SO SLOW... Hell, I even started one!

but now, they are a crutch. People post big things and all things in there and they get lost in the shuffle.

I agree. I think I started one (or two?) of them, but I meant for them to be, like...random one sentence things. Like, "Dammit, I can't find my shoes, was late for work, and am only wearing one sock. FML." or "I love spring. The end." Not paragraphs of detailed information, nor an area where people should be quoting others and carrying on a conversation outside of, "Yah, I couldn't find my shoes either. FML, too." I wouldn't mind if they were closed, honestly, or at least had a three sentence rule or something. LOL

I honestly don't read 99% of the giant clump threads so I probably miss a lot.

The biggest reason I don't post much is the random questions for each post. It's annoying. I agree, the giant threads make the site look less active too.

Same, I check those threads only when all the others are basically dead. Which is happening more frequently I guess :p

The lack of a quick reply button isn't as big of a deal to me either, though I really do like having it there. The Random Question thing is annoying as hell, even with my computer remembering the answers. And those are the two big reasons people have for not being more active, so I'm all for the quick reply coming back and the random questions going away.

Huh, I never realized the quick reply was such a thing.
Lol same!!! I've never used it. Don't really see how it makes posting any easier/faster but maybe I've been missing out all my life.

ETA also I feel like FB has probably taken from the activity on here.

That's my suspicion as well. It would be interesting to see if bringing back quick reply would actually change anything, but personally I rarely post things here - pictures, especially - that I post on FB because it starts to feel spammy.

And the thing about the clump threads is, I feel like a lot of stuff posted in there wouldn't get posted at all if it weren't in, say, the venting thread. It doesn't much matter to me if there are several new posts in a clump thread vs several new threads... I browse with "new posts" so it's not like I have to keep much track of individual threads, though.
