There's a difference between rude and just not sugar coating honesty. I know a bunch of top winning poodle and golden kennels here. Your dogs aren't coming from them. They likely wouldn't sell to you. They probably would if you weren't breeding mutts though. Darn pesky ethics.

If you wanted to try to breed better you could show the parents of your crosses as they are purebreds. Except summeriot pointed out a bunch look out of standard. Dogs coming from mediocre sources are less likely to have great genetics. So you have cut yourself off from better breeding stock. Breeding fair hips is because you have no other choice as you can't get better dogs to breed apparently.

I'm sure they all make great pets. But breeding is supposed to be to better things. Mediocre genetics doesn't add much good to the gene pool.

Excuse me, but how dare you put me into the same catergory as the idiots you bought a puppy off without even asking any questions. If you lose your sence when someone shows you a puppy, thats not my fault.
How dare I? You're the same. You have a pretty website with all sorts of photos of your puppies, you offer a 1 year health guarantee, and you ask some questions that make the buyer think they are getting a dog from the highest quality breeder.

The "idiots" from who I bought my puppy had the exact same kind of operation as you--so if they are idiots, what does that say about you? :D

Sorry, as a first time dog owner I didn't know anything about breeding ethics so I didn't do any research and made a huge mistake. Oddly enough, you have so many dogs and have been involved with them in the past, but yet you keep making the same mistakes over and over. Like I said, what does that say about you? :D

If you want to promote these in-breedings , go for it . Not for the money , but to help get the best of the 2 breeds and achieve a standard . Begin with complete health checks and breed the best to the best . This will take at least 3 generations of hard work , studies and lots of money . I would advise a spay and neuter policy or all your sales until this happen. Otherwise you will just be promoting BYB . Not of the " Goldendoodles " on that site have a standard . The pricing is rediculus !

:lol-sign: Something your parents obviously didn't consider.
Oddly enough you have the guile to comment on other people's parents, when it looks like your own parents are just as unethical as you are!

"Once again we have a breeder out of Canada. Patricia Moore of Moore Doodles, located in Beaverton, Ontario Canada. Patricia is actually the mother of Sherry at SwissRidge and they work together, although they do have separate kennels. Patricia has two lovely Golden Retrievers that produce some wonderful Goldendoodle puppies. The stud dogs that are used are at SwissRidge and Sherry is always there in support of her Mom. Patricia has only an email address, but if you would like to view some of the puppies or dogs......please go to Sherry's website at SwissRidge."

What does that mean? Are you saying you don't have the heart to take in an incredible dog that needs a loving home? If you can't even consider saving the life of a dog in need, you aren't fit to own a dog at all.
...
Thanks for enlightening me - how should I dispose of this overpriced mutt now?

There are a lot of "Good" rated dogs out there. It is rare to find an "Excellent" rated dog. I have OFA'd my boy and his rating was Good. If he had come out Fair or Poor he would have been fixed.

I think you need to think long and hard on how your breeding your dogs. "Fair" dogs really shouldn't be bred. Perhaps either get a 2nd radiograph sent in - incase the positioning was wrong, or alter your dog/not breed them.

It could be that you are having a problem finding all of these "good/excellent" hips is because some people feel the need to breed "Fair" ratings..

Something to think about.

I'd also really like to know why you say you are from Michigan when your site says Ontario?

Wow. Already getting rid of this one and moving onto the next hot designer trend?

If you are serious I'm sure I could find someone to foster/rehome him for you.
Of course I'm serious. After all, you have declared me unfit to own any dog, and if anyone knows it - it is you. You are now my mentor.

I see you are anti-BSL Yet you attack a new person because they own a breed you do not agree with.
See... I honestly don't think you GET IT, at all.

You do not simply "own" these dogs, you BREED these dogs! There is a massive difference between the two. You are bringing lives into this world. Into a world where there is already a gross excess of millions of dogs, who are dying in shelters. I believe, cosidering the current state of our over-population issues & considering many of us are involved in rescue, that it is not only our right to question the breeding ethics of anyone who is reproducing with dozens of litters on the ground at once, I think it's our responsibility! As dog enthusiasts!

You know... a certain member joined a year or two ago, and went on about how she was going to breed her Labs. People spoke up, and questioned her ethics, and actually gave her a lot to think about. We do not discriminate based on "breed" but rather on the breeders themselves.

I'm just offended by the Anti-BSL statement... it isn't relevant at alllllllll.

My dogs never had gone to shelters, ever.So I am not doing anything to your precious shelters, don't blame me if someone couldn't look after thier dog.I used to work in a shelter thanks, and I even had to put a few dogs down with serious problems, so don't even start talking that "Dogs in shelters" crap to me, okay?

Cool what have your dogs titled in? That is good to hear. Though I do think you should try to find some better hipped dogs, and extend your guarantee. The last 2 JRTs I bought came with lifetime health and temperament guarantees.

If you are working to establish a new breed, you have to be better than the norm. You have to really show that you are ethical, dedicated, and have a purpose, if you want acceptance. A few suggestions. On your page, show less puppies, and more adults. Talk more about their accomplishments. Have a prominent link to your favorite rescue. Talk about trying to astablish a standard and that you are what your breeding is trying to achieve. The issue is that so many byb have jumped on the doodle bandwagon, many assume all doodle breeders are byb. I think coming up with a real name for the new breed would help too. Then create a registry, that the byb couldn't easily use. (the JRTs have their own registry as they are not kennel club recognized..and we don't want them recognised)

Wow... shocking.

I wasn't implying that your puppies will end up in shelters. But you cannot deny that there IS a ridiculous overpopulation of dogs in this country... therefore, many of us cannot just sit idly by and ignore ANY kind of irresponsible breeding.

Imagine if, instead of buying one of your puppies, you had instead directed those families to adopting a pup? Imagine how many lives would be saved.

Send me a PM and we can get to work on rehoming your dog. Poor guy. Irresponsible owners such as yourself toss away perfectly great dogs like they are sets of clothing.

Good idea ... that is working on another name !!! Unless it's a standard , it's a mixed breed . I think the Austrialian Labradoodle should be ( when accepted down the road ) should be a ALADOO ....... I've never seen a standard yet for the golden/poodle mix . Anyone working on a true breed should have a S/N contract with each pup at this point . Otherwise the BYBs and Mills make the $$$ and does nothing for what could be a good breed .

Yes, but the first litters in the last couple of years.

QUOTE]

On the Ref tab, puppy listed by new owners to be born Dec 06, last time I counted a couple of years would be 05...............and no litters in 06.

Btw, I think I know a person with one of this OP's dogs actually he's a pup still...........they got him out of a shelter, not to far (within 75 miles) of the OP's town, they told me the shelter said the previous owners had gotten him from up that way, sure looks like one of theirs (one of the reasons I went to look at her site, wondering)

I'll give them a call tomorrow and to confirm.

Normally im the last one to get into these threads but i have gotta ask.

If I breed my Male papered American Pit Bull Terrier and my moms Female AKC Havanese. DO health testing, charge a exorborant(sp?) amount of money, do all the home checks and everything that makes me more responsible then the actual work that i do with a greyhound adoption agency and adopt my dog from the pound and actually do not support mixed breed bredders although i would LOVE to have more of the mix my dog is but its irresponsible and hes neutered. along with my AKC papered Saint Bernard my Female ADBA registered American Pit Bull Terrier (not breed worthy) and my Papered Greyhound. HMMMMM gives you something to think about don't it?
