and observed that Gunnar is in full coat blow out mode! Hair all over the place, tufts of it hanging off of him. I did a quick brush with the undercoat rake and got enough to make a pillow. Tomorrow I'll do it for real and get twice that. :lol-sign:

We were gone for a week, and my daughter has been taking care of them for us. I guess I should have asked her to brush him, but he was fine when we left!

They were all glad to see us when we got home. Gunnar brought me about 5 toys in the first 2 minutes and actually jumped up and licked my face, he never jumps and isn't much of a licker, especially on the face. Daisy kept coming over and laying her head on my chest all night. Bruzer was going wild and he even jumped up and gave some kisses which is rare for him.

oh I bet you will get a ton of hair off of Gunnar--must be something you could do with it? Let's get creative....

Sounds like they sure missed you a lot. What a great welcome to have when you got home.

Sure does sound like he missed you. As for the hair, most grooming shops are collecting and donating dog hair for the BP oil problem in the Gulf.

Or you could send it here :D http://www.vipfibers.com/

Seriously, checking to see if the local groomers are sending to the Gulf is a great idea.

The stress of you being gone may be what kicked Gunnar into a full blown shed. About the only time Kharma sheds is when she's seriously stressed.
