So I decided to get Draco a new leather collar, and because I have an addiction I got a leash too. :p I got a plain black leather collar from Schaff saddlery, and a plain black leash too. They are both very nice! The collar is great! Smooth, strong, pretty, simple. I was tired of the dirty nylon. The leash looks like it will supple up with time nicely! It is not stiff, beveled edged so comfortable, just not supple and buttery yet. Very happy with my order though! The gentleman I gave my order to on the phone was great! We actually had a conversation about dogs and poodles! Very nice older man! Just figured since there are alot of leather addicts out here too that I should tell my experience. :)

LOL. It sounds great. It's so nice when you can talk to someone on the phone at these kinds of places who is genuinely nice and interested. I see you had an all around good experience.

A.) We need pics.
B.) I always keep new leather leashes and such in my car so I can play with them at stoplights to hold back the road rage. They get soft fast.

LOL!! Here they are! After just two days of wearing the collar, it is already noticably softer! Good idea about the leash!

And the twerp laying here in the office. :)

LOL!! Thanks guys!! He is getting big! I think of him as small though compaired to Riley. I am horrible at keeping up with pictures! I will have to get some new ones after he has a bath. No Grab, we decided he wasnt show worthy. Fine by me! No hair upkeep.

If you don't mind me asking, what are his faults? I know his breeder wasn't happy with his loose eyes, but they look nice now. He looks nicely proportioned every where too. I sure do not envy show homes!! The coat maintenance is really quite insane. Poodles are meant to have nice short curls, they were not meant to have their coats blow dried straight and teased and sprayed for endless hours a day. I'm so glad you're enjoying him!

I cant easily describe his conformation and faults as easily as his breeder can, but a few things. First is his front. She felt he had the same flatter front that you see alot of now adays. She wants to breed a line with a better front then that to improve it. Also, he just isnt as balanced as he idealy should be. When stacked, he pulls one or both of his hind legs forward. He doesnt feel comfortable with them both pulled back that far. He did this since he was a puppy, and hasnt grown out of it. The breeder said this is due to him being unbalanced somewhere. A well balanced puppy should naturally be comfortable and hold a stacked pose well. Those are the main ones.
Otherwise he has great ears, lovely coat, great personality, nice angulation in the rear and hind legs. Oh, he can be a little roachy backed sometimes, but is flat when stacked.
