My Mia - Osteosarcoma
The tumor in Mia's mouth doubled in size over the past 2 weeks and in the past couple of days, she's been eating only sporadically, and that's only when I fed her with a plastic spoon. Her spirit declined over the past couple of days and this morning, DH and I made the very difficult decision to let her go. We realized that we were holding on for our own reasons and that giving her a narcotic pain reliever twice a day just so she could manage to eat and stay around for us just wasn't fair to her.
She gave us 11 years of pure joy. She was such a good girl! Goodbye, Mia. You will always be in our hearts!
