thanks everybody!

i fully expect her exam to be completely normal and her bloodwork to be completely normal. i don't think i'm going to get an answer for this, but i have to take her in just in case. we've seen too much weird bad stuff at work lately.

she's nice and pink so she's not anemic.

she's got a lump on the side of her muzzle that i've been meaning to get checked, and we have a new girl at work who needs blood drawing practice, so it's just as well that i take her in with me for a neurotic mommy check up.

I wish I would have recognized those signs in Bronki instead of thinking he was just getting older. Really glad your having her in a complete physical .Big time Vibes for Lucy to be fine and dandy.

I'm sending a HUGE package of vibes your way. I'm crossing my fingers that the blood work comes back okay. It is so worrying when they don't seem themselves. So I'll be keeping Luce and you in my thoughts. (((hugs)))

Nothing is allowed to be wrong with Luce. I am sending tons of vibes to make sure that the universe understands this. And hugs for you too. Things like this are so worrisome.

Physical exam was completely normal as expected. Heart sounds fine, pulses are normal. All her belly parts felt normal (always gotta have splenic mass in the back of my head). Lymph nodes normal. Normal normal normal. My not normal dog is normal normal.

Sent out CBC and chemistry. I'll get results Monday.

Dr was unconcerned about the thing on the side of her face. Maybe an ingrown whisker? I'll continue to keep an eye on it but I'm relieved she didn't say "oh that could definitely be a mast cell tumor" which was my only real concern.

She seemed fine at work. Outgoing and friendly and wigglewormy. We'll see what she does this weekend.

Again, thanks to everybody for their thoughts.

Glad to hear it!! Will be looking for the test results and keeping my fingers crossed that they're as normal as the physical exam.

Well here's hoping it was just a flu or something that's making her not act right. Blue and Teeny have both done that to me at times, and it scared the hell at me (and as my vets will tell you, I am NOT one to freak out). Luce, quit freaking your mom out. Not nice.

**hugs**

lol i'm not neurotic about dog-stabbing, just about her dying. luce is super cooperative plus fairly naked so she's a great guinea pig for learning. it seems like every dog we've had for a blood draw lately has been obese, a nitwit, or both. we had time today to walk her through everything and let her try. she didn't get blood, but i hope that she understands the process (holding off, finding the vein) a little better now. luce is nice in that when you hold off on her neck, her jugular pops out and waves hello.
