Omg I want to shoot myself in the eye sometimes because i can look in the mirror at my perfectly not broken out face and immediately set to ****ing it up by trying to pick and squeeze blackheads that aren't ****ing there.
I used to do this a lot. I found I stopped when I wasn't anxious anymore. I think for me it was wanting to control something in my life so I attacked my face. Overall, I breakout way less now except around my period.

It finally stopped a couple of days ago. All said and done it lasted 20 days, although luckily I wasn't cramping the whole time, it was on and off. Bleh. I really want it to work for me. I can't be on the pill anymore because I get migraines, so my options are pretty much the shot or an IUD. I haven't decided yet if I'll try another round of it.
I spotted on and off for long periods for the first year. Then I had NO PERIODS for 12 years. Went off it for a year, periods were actually regular (that was not the case before I went on it), and then went back on it, no spotting or anything - just no periods again.

It's amazing what my hair can do when I don't brush it after a shower.

Curls galore! Such pretty perfect curls!

But not brushing my hair? Uggggh. Cannot deal. It drives me crazy.

"Oh, I have time to do some spa stuff, why not do an oil treatment too? Yeah, totally. Oh, I made to much. Oh well, let's just dump the rest on my head over the tub. Yeah, that'll totally work. Get the max amount AND minimal cleaning required. Genius."

NOT GENIUS.
TOO MUCH OIL.
MY SCALP FEELS LIKE IT IS GOING TO SLIDE OFF.

Question for those of you who've had hormonal IUDs - Mirena, Jaydess, etc. I had a Jaydess put in probably two months ago now because my copper IUD had slipped out of place.

I had taken Plan B a few weeks before getting the IUD inserted, and that period was WAY earlier than expected, but I know that those hormones can totally mess cycles up so that wasn't too surprising. What is strange is that I haven't had a period again since the IUD was inserted. Spotting here and there, for sure (kind of constant for the first month or so), but no real period. I took a pregnancy test a few days ago because it was freaking me out, but it was negative. It's been close to 2 months since the IUD was inserted and I had my last period.

I know that the hormonal IUDs can pretty much stop periods entirely, but it was my understanding that that usually happened slowly over the course of a year or so.

So I'm wondering if anyone else had drastic changes in their cycles right away?

After my Mirena was placed I had one spotting type of period and then none for 5 years. It happens. I also took pregnancy tests every once in a while because I would worry about a freak pregnancy if I had any unusual cramping or nausea. LOL

Yeah! Well I could certainly get used to this!!! After heavier periods with the copper, this is kind of heaven. I wasn't too worried about pregnancy, but then I had some random nausea and completely freaked out, but I guess it really was just random nausea. (thank goodness...now would not be an ideal time for a kid!)

I never had a period on Mirena, I only bled a little right after insertion IIRC. I was sort of mad because they made a big deal out of bleeding after so I had bought an ENTIRE BAG of pads and then didn't use any of them. So I'm pretty sure that's right hahaha.

BUT my body had been on depo for years and was kind of used to not having periods, so I'm not sure if that's a factor or not. YMMV of course, that is the fun of our reproductive systems. =P

I'm totally jealous of you people and your glorious experiences with Mirena. My body hates me and, over a year later, there's still no rhyme or reason to spotting, bleeding, etc. There was a few month span with nothing, followed by a few months of just a few days per month. Now we're back to "hey, let me remind you every other day that you have a uterus"

Stupid body.

I did have mine taken out, so I wouldn't say it was glorious haha. The other side effects really sucked. Honestly I think I would have taken spotting over the constant mucus experience...

Eww, thankfully no such troubles. No one likes their vagina to have a cold.

I will note that I had originally asked about paragard. I can't take any of the pills due to constant bleeding issues, and was worried the hormonal aspect of the Mirena would lead to the same issues. But my doctor said Mirena would be better as it usually stops bleeding. Lies, lol.

Has anyone (particularly anyone with larger D+) used breast lift tape? Or double sided tape in another capacity to go bra less?

Does it work?
