Looks like it's going to end up being this time next month. Rather upset with my family dr. Told me she'd call right away when I first saw her to try and get me in this week... I called today because I hadn't heard anything and found out she hasn't even called yet.... Pretty pissed that I'll have to take another months worth of marvelon. And wait a whole month. Grrr.

Dying my hair tonight. Been a year since I bleached it, so it was due. Went pretty quick, but soaked down to my roots before it got light enough where I was comfortable. But hopefully it will be light enough to get me back to bright red again. I've been missing it. Been sorta dark and not as bright lately.

And then bath and nails. Girly girly night.

I got my nose pierced yesterday. And I really love it. It actually did not hurt that bad and my eyes did not tear up at all.
I have mine done, and it hurt like a bitch! I wound up with watering eyes, nail marks in my palms, and cursing out the piercer. What hurt worse though was my 10mo old niece yanking it out two days after, and having to put it back in.

I know this is super random, but anyone like me whose boobs think bras are boob prison should try the "genie bra". I bought a three pack for $19.00 (they were normally like $29 ) and I love them! They are so comfortable that it doesnt even feel like I am wearing anything!

GGRRR!!! I am getting this rash on my face and chest and all I want to do is put some steroid cream on it and be done with it, but I know that it will probably bring on another skin infection. Grumbles.

...I did put steroid cream on my chest. It feels better already and its going away.

How do I get rid of frizz without heat, oil or mousse? I don't want greasy hair and I don't want crunchy hair. And I don't want to blow dry my hair after every shower either. My hair just gets so freaking frizzy!! Is there a shampoo or conditioner that gets rid of frizz? Then again I usually don't use conditioner at the top of my hair, just at the ends because I have super oily roots and super dry ends.

I use coconut oil. I massage it into my hair and leave it in for at least a half hour, then shampoo it out. I never blow dry if I can help it, just air dry.

How often are you washing?

I have naturally oily hair too but have learned less is more. I am now down to washing 1-2 times a week and its SO much healthier. If I really need it I will use a bit of dry shampoo in between, but I dont often. Use a quality sulfate free shampoo and yes, conditioner (no sillicones etc as you dont want build up). A vinegar rinse can help or lately I have been using aloe vera juice as a rinse and its been really helpful. Also, dont mess with your hair while its drying, that can make it frizzy...it needs to set.

I have an appointment for an IUD for next week. Google has me convinced to cancel due to the horror stories. Why do you play with my mind, Google:p

It does not help that I asked about paragard, because my body responds to all hormonal birth control by bleeding excessively for months. The doctor thought that Mirena would, somehow, not cause this issue and would be the better choice since most people eventually stop having periods all together .

But mainly, Google horror stories have me ready to cancel. Thanks, morbid curiosity:p

I am pretty sure I have an issue.

Shoes to most women....are bras and underwear to me.

I felt like my boobs suddenly and unexpectedly got huge. So I waited it out. Maybe hormones. Two, three months later this is out of control and I feel like I am being suffocated by my own boobs every time I put a bra on. NO ONE TOLD ME BOOBS SUDDENLY MUTATE AT 22. So. We were around a VS the other day so I got resized.

I went from 32b to a 34C. "Sister size", but it made a world of difference.

And then things got out of control. I now have the most ridiculous bra and underwear collection. And by ridiculous -I mean huge.

Hi - My name is Lyz, and I am a lingerie addict.

But I won't need anymore for years!

Oh my god, I know the horror stories, right? I am getting a Mirena soon (waiting for the appointment... sigh) and I am soo scared I am going to be one of those people that bleed FOREVER with it. Even though the prime reason my Dr put me on it was to stop my periods all together.

I know, I found that same blog. But there ARE good reviews, too. So I am trusting my Dr to know what's best for me, from a medical point of view. It's all I can do to stop myself from freaking out. Plus, if it works like she is saying it will, no periods, so WOO! AND no babies!

FWIW, even though I had mine removed, I wouldn't really say it was horrific.

You can actually still conceive with the IUD in... it will just almost definitely be ectopic. Which means the baby almost definitely won't survive. You probably will though.

That was actually one more reason I had mine removed. A co-worker of mine told me she had an IUD back in the 80's and had an ectopic pregnancy while it was in, and the look on her face when she told me, this being over 20 years later, was... devastating for lack of a better word. I don't want a baby but I want a baby to implant and then die even less.

My friend got pregnant with an IUD....the baby did survive (and is an awesome little girl now) but yeah, that whole pregnancy was scary for sure...at any time it couldve gone wrong. I mean yeah, anytime pregnancies can go wrong but this was really high risk just because of the IUD.

I'm less concerned about pregnancy issues (although I don't want additional kiddos) than bleeding for two months. I have such little patience for it for 7 days out of a single month, and in the past I've put up with months of bleeding (my body hates both the depo shot and bc pills..all of them...even the super high estrogen one they give you when you bleed on everything else) that my patience is pretty thin. My insurance does cover the IUD, but I'd hate to waste the time of having it put in and then just be pissy about bleeding for several months.

Hmm, well, I didn't bleed on it, I just had other really disgusting constant mucus-y discharge... but I also don't bleed on depo, and my doc told me I probably wouldn't bleed on Mirena because the hormones are similar. So I'm no real help. =/ Except, uh, yeah, I didn't bleed on it! So it's definitely possible to get it and NOT go through the months of spotting and bleeding... it could happen, right?

I have gone through every single kind of BC - IUD, pills, Depo... The only thing that worked for me was the Mirena IUD. it was a LIFE SAVER!!!!!!!!! I gained a lot of weight that I was never able to lose with Depo and didn't stop spotting/bleeding for 6 months. Pills? well, I'm ADD and don't trust myself... With Mirena I spotted for a few weeks but it was very minimal in comparison to regular cycles and it was very bearable .
