Honestly, I have more of a "Do not get OFF the furniture!" rule. At night you get on the bed and you do not get off of the bed until I get up. If they are getting antsy when I'm watching tv or reading then it's "Get on the couch, lay down and be good." When I'm cleaning and they keep getting in my way it's "Go sit on the couch/on top of the crate/stool and stay there." And if I'm cooking and they keep getting in the way it's "Go sit on this kitchen chair and don't move."
Me too. haha.

Mine usually sit on the back of couches/chairs. I do try to keep Mia off the table and the counter top because she's usually up to something bad.

My only real furniture rules are you have to get off when I tell you, stay off if I tell you to stay off (necessary for visiting family/friends that don't allow dogs on furniture), and NO LOUNGING ON THE KITCHEN TABLE.

Webster is still working on that last rule. Darn catdog.

Leo is allowed on the furniture only when invited.

Mostly this is because the only sitting furniture in my livingroom is designed for one person. So having him jump up onto furniture actually means that he is going to be lying on me. Sometimes I like that and want that. But sometimes I don't and I want him to respect that.

He is pretty good about asking with big puppy eyes. The only thing is that once he has been invited, he thinks that the invitation also holds ten minutes later, so sometimes I unexpectantly get a leaping dog landing on my stomach with all four feet

My dogs are allowed on all the furniture, just no toys or running around on anything but the floor or ground!

Bear used to need permission to go on the bed. Not because I didn't want him there, he just wouldn't get on unless I told him he could. There were quite a few nights that I would notice him being a creeper and staring at me only to realize I forgot to tell him he could come up.

Pig is the only monkey that climbs up on tables. We had a 3 foot rule -she could only have 3 feet on the table at a time- but really, I just find it amusing, so she gets to do what she wants as long as there's no food out. Badger can only rest his chin on the table/counter if there's no food out as well.

I like having them on the couch, although Pig is making the back of one part lopsided. She is part cat, so likes to perch there to look out the window. I usually tell her to get off if I see her up there. Sometimes I ask her why she can't occasionally sit on the other side to even it out. Apparently that's impossible.

Well, this is Maya's default lounging spot, and she can get up there whenever she wants. More often than not, she still asks permission first.

If she's not lounging on the couch, she's usually on the bed:

They're allowed on the chairs and couches whenever, as long as they hop down when asked :) I'm more comfortable with them! Sleep better, too

The curly tails are allowed full furniture access.

The only rule is that when I tell you to move your bones you move over for me to sit down with you :)

Dogs are not really allowed on the couches...we used to allow it some time ago, but it got nearly ridiculous trying to keep them clean. Although now Collie puppy is slowly being allowed to sneak up there..hah.

My dogs are allowed on my bed at their convenience, yes. They also have 'their own' twin bed.

Haha yep, same here. Mine are allowed on all the furniture, whenever. I do want them to get off when I ask them to, but it's never been an issue.

We have two reclining chairs by the windows in the living room, and Journey figured out how to put the backs down so she can have a nice comfy viewing platform (so now of course they all do it):

This is fine and pretty cute unless they're trying to push the back down while I'm still sitting in the chair. Then they usually get ejected :)

Lucy is allowed up whenever.

Juno is not allowed up. On the rare occasion I will invite her on my bed if I want to snuggle.

Happy is not allowed/is appalled at the thought of being on furniture.

Cajun....is allowed but is supposed to be invited. I'm the only one consistent about it.

Sawyer waits to be invited up; he's allowed anywhere at home but not at my parent's house.

Marley just hops up whenever, wherever but will get down when told.

Definitely no rules, not even a little. We make room on the furniture for him especially :p

Yeahhhhh no rules about couches/beds/chairs, but they are pretty good about getting off when asked.

Oh wait, there are rules (kind of not really OK I tried....). Pen and Kimma aren't allowed on the kitchen table. And Jari's not allowed on the coffee table. Those rules are broken constantly

This probably looks weird that some are allowed up, and some aren't lol. Juno would be allowed up if she wasn't incontinent. Happy, again doesn't even want to go on a couch or bed, but she wouldn't be allowed anyway because she's too floofy.

This just applies to the couch, beds are mostly off limits except for rare times.

I'm with Linds, we have a distinct "No getting off the bed" rule, or the couch if we are napping. Both of them are pretty into cuddling, so that rule doesn't get broken very often. Saga especially doesn't break it in the winter because she needs to steal ALL THE WARMS. Other than that the only furniture rule is no toys on the couch or the bed. Nico every so often still tries to break that one when he's got the zoomies, but for the most part remembers.

The furniture is all my mom's, and she doesn't want dog hair on it, so they aren't allowed. That rule gets broken some when we let them sit on our laps, but they can't be directly on the chairs at any time.

They're allowed on my bed any time without invitation. When I get my own place/furniture they'll be allowed up, too. I enjoy cuddling with them whenever possible.

Well, right now Logan's on the love seat and my parents and Gavroche are on the couch. I'm on the floor.

So, I guess Logan lets me on the couch when I'm invited :p

Seriously though, they can get on whatever they want whenever they want. Gavroche would die of sad if I didn't let him get on my bed. And I love snuggling in bed with my dogs <3

Last two nights all three dogs were in bed under the heated blanket.
