So my last foster was adopted a couple weeks ago, and the rescue begged me to take another who needs heartworm treatment. I'm skeptical about this lasting long because of how she's reacting to my cats, but that's another story.

WTF is up with her nose?!

I know some short-muzzled dogs have upturned noses, but this is absurd... and her muzzle is by no means short.

Has she seen a vet about it? That looks like a growth. Also looks to be at least part APBT, so I wouldn't be surprised if she's trying to kill your cats...

I'm sure she's a good part pit bull, so I'm not surprised that she's very interested in the kitties. My last foster was a pit bull, and he was fine with the cats, as has been every other pit bull in my house, including my current mix. My Akita had some issues with the cats when he first came in, and I had more time to work with him at that point (my only dog). I know I tend to like breeds that tend to dislike cats - I told them I'd try her out for her heartworm treatment, but if things don't get better, I will take her back. There are plenty of cat-friendly pit bulls that need fostering.

She's been to the vet multiple times, both at intake and just recently in preparation for her heartworm treatment (xrays and such). I don't know if anything's been said about her nose. It does look concerning, and I plan on asking them if it's been investigated.

That is...really weird! LOL

^ I have no other advice. I've never seen anything like it! The closest thing would have been a Boxer's nose, but her nose looked odd because of a fungal type growth on it, which isn't the case with your foster.

Maybe she's part Rudolph? (Again, no helpful advice. Sorry!)

A friend of mine had a lab who had a nose that would look similar to that--he had allergies. Not sure if that could be the case here or not?
