Bodhi has fishy breath!!!

She has great gums and white pearly teeth. Raw fed. Nothing stuck between her teeth that I can see.

Ideas?

Is she licking her butt a lot? Anal gland secretion can smell very fishy and I've often found if a dog with healthy mouth has fishy breath (and isn't eating fish) they might need their glands expressed and be licking at their butt to try and relieve the pressure.

If you catch her scooting her butt at all, that's pretty much a sure sign it's anal glands.

Yuck. LOL

Sometimes they just have smelly breath because of bacteria. My holistic vet recommended I buy a Chlorhexidine spray to help kill bacteria and reduce the smell. Pepper has REALLY bad breath but her teeth are fine... so she suggested the spray.

Hmmm.... Could be! She never used to have, but it seems to have slowly developed.

Not sure I'm offended enough to use a spray. Yet!
