Finally... looking!

We're looking for 'the pup'.

I've been lobbying for so, so many years... read so many books on training and ownership, and finally, the family's resistance has been eroded over time with cute puppy pics and dog pettings. MWahahaha...

I cannot convey my excitement in words alone.

So the checklists used, names suggested ("crackerfeena" was a classic offering from the 2.5 yo; "greenbean" was another - lol), and I'm omw to get a clicker training book from the library for my wife.

Also excited about teaching/learning clicker training with my sweetie. :tear:

A mixed breed, somewhere between a mini schnauzer and a medium sized terrier. Looking at quite a few rescues around KY, IN, OH, TN.

We found an adorable schnauzer/boxer mix, but she was gone before we could really respond. We'd love to see more pups like that one, but I haven't seen other mixes of the like.

Great finds!

I was informed over lunch that my wife would much prefer a schnauzer mix than a terrier mix, simply due to it being easier to know what expect. A terrier mix varies so much in size and coat that we're willing to lean the "schnau" route.

Wife and I agreed that this was a cutie:

Off to visit this cute little boy on Tuesday; guesses to the father's breed? Mommy is a mini schnau, daddy is suspected Boxer, which is what we're hoping for.

He really just looks like a schnauzer/terrier mix of some sort (for some reason I see border terrier, but depending on where you live, they aren't that common, so probably not).

Ha! There was a misunderstanding this entire time, and the pup we thought we had lost (and had thought female) is actually the boy we're going to visit Tuesday! It's the pup my wife first saw and wanted - ha!

Here he is, proudly NOT wearing a pink collar.

(The ear curls are adorable! His head's too big! Aw... elbow tufts!)

We're pretty excited!

Zomg, he is SO adorable! Like a teenie wirehaired Boxer. We have three of those (well, not Boxer, but Schnauzer something) come in to work for boarding and it is amusing try to guess they're mixes. They're about 30-50 pounds and obviously have some kind of Schnauzer in them, but as to what else...anything from Border Terrier to Lab to Border Collie.
