Found a Fila on CL. All I know right now is that he's 3, and black. I'm emailing her that has him to find out more about him.

She's giving him away, and I really don't think that's the best thing for him. If anyone is interested please let me know, so that I can know if I need to go get him from her. I can't take him in permantely, but I can hold him for a bit, until we can get a transport or rescue effort together.

I have MSN messenger and AIM up, if anyone needs to get me later. My phone doesn't always like Chaz.

She says he's cage aggressive with strangers, and other than that, he has no vices.

Didn't Bunny want a Fila? What about Mia?

Did she say, How much socialization has he had? Is he dog agressive, good with children, what kind of training has he had, etc...? So he is friendly to strangers outside of his cage?

Talking with her is like pulling eye teeth. She said he is good with other dogs. She doesn't know how is is around kids, because she doesn't have any.

I just sent her a detailed email. She doesn't seem to give up information without being directly asked about it.

I know. I'm hoping that he's not an undersocialized monster, but she seems to know something about Filas, so I'm hoping he's an okay dog.

We'll see.

Okay, he does fine in public, he's not a slavering monster. He's been on a good diet, his sister died of bloat. He goes to the petstore on a regular basis.

The only problem he has is he is crate aggressive. Severely. She said don't crate this dog until you know him well. I don't know if this is from unpleasent associations with the crate, or if its a territory thing.

And I'm still waiting on the vet records.

Okay, here's the deal, she wants to find him another home, because she had to move to an apartment and works two jobs now, and it isn't fair to him to be alone for so long.

He is a CUTIE!!! You'll have to wait for pictures because I'm not near a computer right now. (On my phone)

He is intact, and up to date on everything. She gives him ivermectin out of a cattle/swine bottle? She has the right dosage or something..

Anyway, he is adorable. Does someone want him? He is black and white, white chest patch, looks like belly, and though I only have one picture, and you can only see the left hind, I'm willing to be he's got four white feetsies too.

She said he's a really sweet dog, who deserves better.

Well, she said she's had him since he was a puppy, so 3 years is a long time, just not long enough unfortunately. :(

If anyone knows someone who wants a Fila, let me know, so we can help this guy out!

I should be able to post a picture tomorrow, unless someone wants to send me their email and I can email the picture to them and they post it.

I just can't upload it from my phone to photobucket though.
