Trying to figure out which of these four to take:
•FE220: Control that Crazy Canine - Developing Impulse Control in the Competition Dog
•OB210: Obedience Skillbuilding 1 (I'm concerned that Siri might already know most of 1, and may wait for 2)
•NW101: Introduction to Nosework (Frodo has already done nosework, but with food. I am trying to decide if it would be a good, or stupid, idea to take this class.
•FE410: Stir Crazy - Games for Small Spaces & Indoors (Seems applicable to Minnesota winter, and it seems like Frodo could play most of these.
I'd like to try and take 2 classes, we will just see with funding.

I just want to put this out there, it's not directed at you it's just something for people to think about when considering classes.
I've picked up some training tricks in some of the foundation classes that were just "oh my god that makes soooo much sense, my life is instantly better now!" For instance, Fenzi's pocket hand in precision heeling was totally worth the price of admission.

I really want to take the tricks class for fun as we've mostly worked on srs stuff this year.
Buuuuut I want to continue with the second term of IPO Retrieves and Jumps class at bronze because it will be nice to watch the Golds keep working. So helpful to what we're doing at home at the bronze level.
I want to take the Jumps class at bronze because it would be a good education for me. We've done foundation jumping in our private lessons and I think it would be a really good educational overview to see the lectures and what other people are working on.
I will probably just retake IPO Jumps & Retrieves at bronze with a scholarship. Things have been really tight this last month with buying new tires, etc. and holidays coming up and I want to buy better dog food. We have plenty of stuff to work on... I can pick a few tricks to spend time working on without taking the tricks class.
Heck I still need to finish working through the Creative Cues class homework...

Pocket hand really helped with getting Scout to stop swinging her butt out crooked!! Our instructor we do privates with took Precision heeling so that is how we got the info. We do a lot of pivot foundations in our private lessons too.
Of course then I had to work on setting that aside once we had what we needed and working on stuff from Shade's heeling class. Shade's lectures on head position/gaze targeting really helped clarify things for me in regards to training for my long/tall GSD girlie's structure type. Awesome lectures on what little specifics to the sport of IPO to train for and how to keep drive up while building duration. Scout gets tired working on duration a lot faster than Lily because of how differently she is built. Overall MUCH better heeling with what we've learned from all these great instructors. I'm such a dork, but happy engaged heeling makes me so happy! Way too fun!
