Chaz is waaaay to boring lately so I'm taking Devan's lead and just making threads (Come on people, join in! Get off the giant clump threads!).

What are your favorite tricks/cue/behaviors to teach your dogs? Currently only Rider's been taught, but crawl is the cutest thing evar!

What's the first thing you like working on with a new dog? Attention. :p Totally not a trick, but a very important behavior!

What's your most used trick? Touch. We touch for all the things.

What is your dogs favorite trick to do? Heeling is my absolute favorite behavior to work on/actively do. It's so fun to see that engagement and have a dog so in tune with you.

What trick has been surprisingly useful? Hmm... Finishes! They are great for when you are carrying a bunch of stuff and dogs are bad and walk in front of you. You just tell them to finish and BAM! Back where they should be.

What trick haven't you taught but you would like to? Rear end awareness. Like physically touching things with back feet. I DO CANNOT HAVE THE PATIENCE TO TEACH THIS AND IT MAKES ME SO ANGRY! THE RAGE!
Answers in bold. :)

What are your favorite tricks/cue/behaviors to teach your dogs?
Sit pretty
Rebound
Dog catch

What's the first thing you like working on with a new dog?
It's your choice/eye contact
Crate games
Shaping games

What's your most used trick?
Hmmmm... I don't think I have a most used trick, I use everything I teach on a regular basis. Probably sit pretty though because I do combine in with other tricks like footstalls, backstalls, perch work, etc. Dog catches are used a ton too.

What is your dogs favorite trick to do?
Sit pretty. My dogs all default to sit pretty. I think it's because they all think they are so pretty. Even Zip Tie.

What trick has been surprisingly useful?
Dog catches are ridiculously useful. Probably because I have a ton of reactive dogs, easy to just catch them and walk through the distraction.

What trick haven't you taught but you would like to?
Hmmm... I think I've taught everything that I can think of to one dog or another. Right now I'm working on a cute little skit with Taboo using a hula hoop. I'm also going to start working on human agility, where kids act as the obstacles.

What are your favorite tricks/cue/behaviors to teach your dogs?

I love all tricks. Teaching them is so fun and rewarding to me, I'm not terribly good at perfecting or maintaining them----I love handstands, get your tail, blowing bubbles in water, beer from the fridge, limp, backing up around things, etc. Things that impress people off the street ;)

What's the first thing you like working on with a new dog?

Just fun with shaping. 100 things to do with a box stuff.

What's your most used trick?

Crossbone is either jumping into my arms or Left/Right (spins). Spinning is his stress relief trick and something he can do when he can't focus on anything else.

I love that Jack will pick up anything when I say "uh oh"

What is your dogs favorite trick to do?
Crossbone's favorite is whatever we're currently working on. I do think he loves Stick em Up though, and of course his spins

What trick has been surprisingly useful?

Hopping up on things, going around objects, backing up. And they've all been incredibly useful in agility and if I ever get around to doing a disc routine, I'm sure they'd come in handy there too!

What trick haven't you taught but you would like to?
Anything that I haven't taught. :p Must teach ALL the tricks!

What are your favorite tricks/cue/behaviors to teach your dogs?
My friend doesn't have any actual favorites herself.

What's the first thing you like working on with a new dog?
When Lotta was a puppy, my friend teached her for example to sit.

What's your most used trick?
Sit

What is your dogs favorite trick to do?
It's not an actual trick or behavior to Lotta but she often stares at my friend. :D After that she often climbs on her lap and starts licking her. :rofl1:

What trick has been surprisingly useful?
Sit but my friend doesn't think that there would be anything surprising about it.

What trick haven't you taught but you would like to?
My friend doesn't have anything on her mind yet.

My friend herself has this question: Is one of the purposes of this particular thread to find ideas for the next trick threads?
