What are your guys' favorite backpacks for backpacking? I've gotten really into backpacking this past year and have just been borrowing my school's old North Face Terra 65. I really like that pack, but want to explore all of my options (there are so many!) before I make a purchase. I'm looking at something that's 60-65 liters and either unisex or for women specifically. I also want something that's not going to fall apart after a few uses, but also would really prefer not to spend more than $250. TIA for any advice!

Go to your local Cabela's, Rei, etc and try them on. Every body type is different and the right fit - will be the right fit. Ask for help and someone will help fit you and make suggestions. Also try to think of what your big and heavy packing items are that you will need in that pack and decide accordingly.
My favorite pack right now is the Cabela's ground hunter. I am using it for fishing, day hikes, and scouting. I love it - it's all I want and a bag of chips.
My serious hup hup pack is a 100liter prestige pack. If you load it wrong it can be a back breaker but it fits everything and the kitchen sink. Which is perfect if I have to pack my life up a hill for a week or two.
I may eventually pick up a 50 to 70 liter for going out just a couple days but I haven't found the one yet. I suspect it'll be one that can do either my bow or my rifle.

I definitely know that I need to try them on, but I also don't want to walk into REI with no clue about what I want. I'm just looking for some general suggestions and opinions on what people like/dislike.
And for now I'm not going to be packing anything aside from basic camping gear (cookware, sleeping gear, tent, etc.). I've gotten into the whole outdoor scene through my high school's outdoor ed program, so am really looking for something fairly basic to get me by on those trips. The rest of my family dislikes anything to do with camping, so I'm only going to be able to go on trips that my school offers until I graduate. So I probably won't use it for more than 5 days at a time.
