today was our first outing with a group I found online, Hiking Dogs of Central Maryland. I just took Eli since I thought it might be too much for Chowder. We had a blast, but I may not be able to move tomorrow. He loved running around off leash with the other dogs. Halfway through though, I had to leash him up, as he met the love of his life, a yellow lab named Elinor, and would not stop humping her. He was neutered recently, but apparently did not get the memo.
Some pictures by various group members:
This is the organizer's Irish wolfhound. The first dog Eli saw when we met up with the group. He took one look at her and wanted to run back to the car. She was very sweet, and VERY big.
The gang, running around:
Group shot. Eli and I are to the immediate right of the man with the Irish wolfhound. His right, that is. Eli is the reddish blob below the wolfhound, LOL.
Eli and his lady love. She was very tolerant with him, poor girl.
Pretty scenery!
More pretty scenery!
And finally, my handsome boy enjoying the hike.
