So the animals and I have moved to a new house. Chase needs a new tag with updated contact information. Looking for some recommendations for a durable tag that will take some chewing and rough handling. I like ones with cute/funny/sarcastic type sayings on them. The last one he had didn't do so well with him chewing on it, even his rabies tag is mangled...

My Fetching Tags have held up great to my dogs and all their outdoor adventures, but to be fair we have never 'chew tested' them.

Mick had plastic ones Lucky Pet for years. I only had to replace them when we moved. Caleb has good old fashioned military dog tags. Since they come in sets of two, I have a back up one.

I have had 6 dog tags and 6 key chains made by these guys, the oldest are 2 years old, and all are in like new condition! They will work with you, will figure out what will work with what you want stamped into it to find a tag it will fit on, and are fantastic to deal with. https://www.etsy.com/shop/themadstampers
I don't seem to have any pictures of those three though?

This guy is just as great to work with and will happily do custom stuff, they are also very durable and he makes some fantastic tags! https://www.etsy.com/shop/oDDDogcreations?ref=ss_profil
Here's one of the odddog ones we had made, we have three of them made one each of engineering, science and command, lol.

Stainless steel Boomerang Tags are awesome and virtually indestructible. Mine have been through pretty much everything a tag can possibly go through and they all still look like new.

I have both collartags are regular dangly ones.

I haven't had a Boomerang tag, but I did have a very similar stainless steel tag and it did hold up for years (still looked like new years later when I moved and had to buy a new tag).

My fetching tags have also held up great.

It would depend what you want on the tag, info-wise. You can't put addresses, etc on the Fetching Tags.

They're not fancy, but my favourite tags are still Boomerang tags. Mostly because I like the CollarTags that attach directly to the collar, but the tags themselves are great quality too.

My Fetching Tags have been through it all for years now. They wear them every day. Herding, dock diving, playing, walks, ball, lake, travel, etc. Plus, great customer service!

I've had Boomerang Tags on all three animals for about a year (?) now, and they look exactly the same as they did when they were brand new - still nice and shiny! The engraving is still extremely readable.

Do they sell that clasp holding the tag too? I tried to skim through but didn't see it.
Okay, hopefully Chaz will work today.

She was only just approved to be a wholesaler, and last night was telling me how she was having problems with the website being able to get her first order put in, but it seems they fixed the problem and she's going to be getting them in as soon as possible! If you want to, she's made a post today on Facebook at that address asking if anyone has any suggestion for what style/color/size they want, if you want to make a suggestion.

I'm going to second Boomerang.

I put in an order there years ago, just to get some tags to hold me over until I found more stylish ones that I like.

Well, probably 8 years later, I'm still using/buying Boomerang. I have a set of stainless steel, and bought a brass set when I bought the dogs rolled leather collars with brass hardware, then I have the plastic ones for my camera gear and my bags.

They hold up well and aren't terribly expensive ($10?), they also have a lifetime warranty pretty much. I've never had to have one replaced.

I have about eight hundred boomerang tags around here. And one fetching tag. I love them. They're not anything fancy but boy are they durable, and cheap for being so durable!
