Well hi guys!! I just received a great e-mail from Saje wondering where I'm at. I had been so busy I hadn't realized how long it'd been since I was last here visiting with my (human) friends (I know, shame on me!!! I'm sorry !!!!). Thanks for reminding me Saje - I needed a swift kick in the rear!! I am still alive and kicking so don't worry about that. So far this summer we've went to 3 car shows and camping 4 times and have had 2 family reunions and have started a workout program plus I've taken on more at work so I've not had much free time. As far as the dogs, Princess is silly as always, thankfully filling out some (she was SUPER skinny forever, metabolisim was too high - now she looks normal) because of new food the vet put her on. The cats are the same too, lazy and contrary as ever (My newest stray cat Max got ran over when he was about 8 months old - I can't remember if I had told ya'll that or not, we only had him about 6 months. That was a while ago but it's also been a while since I've been on here). We have 2 new horses - a 2 year old quarter horse and a 1 year old tennessee walker (that makes 6!!) The cow is still hanging on too - I swear she's gonna live forever. She's way over the hill but hasn't ever shown the 1st sign of age yet!! Tyson hasn't had a siezure one since his 1st one I posted on a long time ago in a panic...I still think it was from that sh*@@y Iams savory sauce, if I only knew then... He had(/has) a torn acl (the vet said anyway) which wasn't very bad at all and NEVER acted like it bothered him until a couple months ago then all of a sudden it was really bad, he couldn't walk on it at all and it all happened overnight. I had a call in to a surgeon to call me back (took a couple of days) for the acl surgery that I knew was inevetiable and in the mean time (in a matter of days) he all of a sudden became paralyized in his back legs - again overnight. Vet said it was the equilivent of a siatic (sp) nerve in a human but would go away on it's own with rest and mild medication he had to take for a week - which it did eventually (not as soon as he said though), but so did the torn acl (which makes me wonder if it really was???) Now he's happy and fine as ever - better really. I was taken up with that for a while. When the dogs get sick I think Cavin almost gets afraid of them. He won't touch them, I think he thinks he'll make them feel worse or that he'll hurt them so for about a month I had to carry (ALL 82.5 lbs) him EVERYWHERE. I had to carry him out to potty and hold him while he did it, I had to carry him to and from the car for every vet appt, I had to carry and hold him for baths when he pottied on himself because he had no control over his bladder or bowels. I'm keping a real close eye on him though and I've done said at the FIRST sign of anything out of the ordinary I'm going to take him to a different vet. I trust my vet 100% usually but I have a gut feeling he may have been off on this one. I have a 2nd vet I go to if my usual isn't available. They're MUCH more expensive but I think they may be better qualified to handle the mystery that is Tyson (Oh my baby Tyson - what a NERD!!! LOL) Speaking of nerd - the REAL nerd is Cisco!!! Boy is he growning. He's still the perfect gentleman (am I PROUD or what??) He's loosing his baby teeth - how cute is that!!?? He's 5 months old and 42 lbs, his eyes have changed and I swear he's the most beautiful dog I've ever laid eyes on!!! He's got the shiniest reddish brown coat I've ever seen. I'm at work now on my lunch break and I don't have any recent pictures of him on my computer here so I'll try to remember to put some on when I get home. Tyson and Princess have to go in their crates while we're at work cause they chew on EVERYTHING!! We can't trust them for more than a few minutes at the most. Cisco gets to stay out no matter what - unless he's eating, he likes to eat in his crate for some reason which is a whole other (but very cute) story. He only chews on his toys and hardly ever potties in the house. He's also SUCH a love butt. Hubby says I spoil him - and I do - he's a mommies boy no matter what Cavin says. I love all my animals the same but their's something about this one...I can't quite put my finger on it but I'm sure ya'll know what I mean. So anyway, that's what I've been into lately - I'll TRY to come around more often, on those rough days at work I could use my support group!! Gotta go now...Later
