So my little problem child aparently has dog food allergies. i have heard such alternatives such as beef and rice, or potato's. ect.. but i am thinking about going raw with him. i wanted some suggestions on one or two good books on planning a raw diet correctly..

we went through food allergies with our golden puppy and our vet told us dogs are more prone to getting/having allergies to beef or chicken. I don't know much about raw books but I read Grow Your Pup With Bones. That is the only book that I have read.

Have you looked at websites, I used to go to the raw dog ranch and found that site very informative.

Dr. Pitcairn's book I hear is very good as well. RedyreRottweilers should have some good suggestions, she's been feeding raw for almost 15 years now.

thanks for the speedy responses. I've always been told to follow my gut instinct and it seems that going this way is how i feel. I think buster always looks over my shoulder on my bed goin "ya dad.. that's what i want" So to have been doing my reading and then have all this happen with the potential allergies in the last 2 weeks it's kinda making me move faster on the issue. What did you do with your golden for the allergies? i tried the A&D vet hypoallergenic food and he hates it. it's a chore for him to eat it and his poo isn't right.

always,

Brian
