I come home early the other day while our dog walker was at the house and found out that she has been taking pictures and videos of my dog Bunk. Is this creepy, or should be flattered by the idea that someone is so enamored by him that they would save him in their cellphone? In addition, I also caught our dagwalker with her shoes on in our house, which is something we specifically told her not to do. I don't mind that much, but it is a cultual issue for my gf so it does bother me to some extent (I haven't told her because she would flip out lol).
I am a first time dog owner so I may be acting a little over protective, but I kind of feel weird about this and want to make sure we have the right person watching over our little black pug puppy :)

It's your call. You hired them. If you cease to trust them then fire them. Did they have references? Are they bonded and insured?

I wouldn't let it bother you, I took pics of the dogs at the dog daycare I worked at and they didn't care. :D As long as she has your permission, I wouldn't bother about freaking out about it. She probably just wants to share how cute your dog is with people. :)

About the shoe thing, she should respect it and wear slippers in your house or something.

I would not be bothered in the least if someone was taking pics of my dogs. I've taken pictures of the dogs I've sitted for because I like them. As for the shoe thing, I'd just make sure to remind her, she's probably just forgotten or didn't realize how important it was to you.

I would take it as a compliment. I would be very glad if i hired someone that thought my dog was special enough to want to share. I have taken photos of every dog I have found just because we crossed paths and I want to remember them.

I am a dogwalker, however not through a company or anything. I've become close to my few clients and their dogs are like my own, so I take lots of pictures of them and I always send them to the owner during the day. They all seem to really appreciate it. :)

I have photos of practically every dog I house sat for for years. There were some I took care of so consistently they were practically family. I always print out and leave a copy for the owners if I get a particularly good shot, and nobody has ever seemed anything but pleased.

As for the shoes, strict reminder. Your house, your request, her job to follow it.

Yeah I don't think it's a big deal on the pictures. She probably just thinks he's adorable and wants to capture some memories - I would too :) We dog sat a dog for 10 years every time his owners would go away. He was pretty much another one of our dogs (just PT!) we took him everywhere with us and have a ton of pictures with and of him. I even cried when I heard he'd passed away last year (only a few days before he was supposed to come stay with us).

The shoes I would definitely bring up with her.
