A favourite among my group of dogs? Yes. Very obviously. Sometimes people think it's mean or unfair to the other dogs, but the dogs don't care. They're all loved and are treated well and get to do their favourite things. I let Journey get away with a bit more and allow her to do certain things that the other dogs aren't allowed to do, but again, the other dogs don't care. I am pretty sure no dog will ever compare to Journey for me and I don't feel guilty at all about making it very apparent that I think she's the best thing in the world. I think when you live with multiple dogs, it's pretty difficult not to have a favourite. Even pre Journey I always had a favourite among my dogs.

Brisbane is my favorite dog, in case anyone here was unaware. He's just so super-awesome and amazing. He either reads my mind of understands spoken english. Ru...can't quite figure out clicker training and forgets stuff between training sessions. It's not his fault, it's just that Brisbane is quite literally the dog I spent my entire life dreaming about until I got him. I never planned on owning a chihuahua, he just sort of happened.

I love Sam and Wilson both and they're both awesome dogs and get spoiled. However, Wilson is literally the dog I've always wanted since I was a kid (anxiety aside). Playful, handler oriented, learns new things quickly, drivey, pretty much a do-anything dog so long as it doesn't involve large crowds of people. So Wilson is my favorite. Sam is my first dog, and he has a soft spot in my heart because of it.

Out of all the dogs in my family, Addie is by far my favorite. She is ours but it is so much more than that. I appreciate her quirks, and nuances. I see the things she does and don't think anything of them (like her energy level, that she likes fresh fruit, not fruit in treat form, need to be entertained etc.) . I see her willingness to listen. She knows when to snuggle, is enthusiastic in her affection and enjoys our habit of sleeping in on the weekend...sometimes.

There are things about my family's dogs and I think to myself, I could never live with x trait, or I would be so mad if Addie did y. No one will ever top Addie.

Ryker is my favorite. I love them both and treat them equally, but Ryker is just so funny and smart. He's the biggest baby and I love it. He's my Pinoccchio.

I'll give you one guess. ;)

Mia is my 'heart dog' so to speak. She is something special and unabashedly the favorite. Why? Because she's Mia. Objectively she shouldn't be. But she is.

She does not feel like owning a dog at all. Hank is closest to the dog I wanted- able to do a lot of things and fun. But Mia has this...Mia-ness. It is bad but I pretty much think of her in a separate category as the other dogs. There's the dogs and then there's Mia. ;) There's a reason her nickname is 'alien' by my family. I feel like you either love her or hate her. And I love her. So much.

Yes, Watson is my favorite and every day I tell him "I love you best". Haha.

Part of it is that he was first. Part of it is that he's cuddly and affectionate and Hazel is not. Oh, she'll cuddle, but it's usually a 100mph body slam lick fest and then she's off. Haha. Watson sleeps pressed up against me at night, and lies on my feet while I watch tv.

A big part of it is that I feel like he needs me more. Hazel is objectively the better dog - she is smarter, more handler oriented, and easier to take into public and do things with. She is going to be a really fricking awesome dog when she grows up. But Watson is my baby and I love him and I've worked so hard with him for so long, trying to figure him out and work together instead of against each other. In some ways he has been such a challenge, but he has paid it back tenfold with being awesome. I feel like Hazel will be more of my teammate and partner, but Watson will always be my momma's boy.

I used to say Meg was definitely my favorite, and had no shame about that (and still see nothing wrong with having a favorite). But now? No favorite. Both of my dogs fill a certain spot in my heart. They are different and I adore them in different ways, and I truly couldn't pick a favorite between them. I hope every dog in my life is able to be that special to me, even if it takes 4 years like Gusto did, instead of the 4 weeks it took with Meg.

Glitch. I feel terrible even typing that, because he's only been with me a few months, but it's true. All of them have a special spot in my heart, but Glitch is the dog I wanted when I got first Gambit, then Gimmick.

I love Gambit for his determination. He has so much to overcome, and he has come so much farther then anyone thought he could. But, with all of his progress, there is a limit to what he can be. He will never be a dog who is comfortable with strangers, or visiters, or kids. I will never be able to take him to classes or out hiking, because it isn't worth the stress it causes him when we see other people. I've long since accepted this, and I do appreciate him for what he is.

Gimmick is my snuggler. He is so soft, and tender and gentle. Seriously, it's like this dog has taken a hit of Thorazine every day. When he cuddles with me, it is the sweetest thing ever. When he runs, he lights up and has fun. But he's so frustrating to work with. If he even thinks he has failed me (and I have never corrected him, not even verbally), he just withers into a puddle and is useless afterwards. Any amount of pressure and he's done for. He was fantastic at the basics of agility, and had the foundations better then any other dog in the class, but the minute it became moving faster, harder, stronger, he fell apart and quit enjoying class.

Glitch is the devil. He has an attitude and talks back to me. He's up for anything, whether it's going downtown, class, or posing for the million and tenth stupid pet pictures. He is the only one of my dogs I can trust around children. He's exactly what I wanted, and I'm so glad I went with my gut instead of my common sense and did not place him in another home.

I couldn't imagine life without my Coyboy and my Shrimp, though. Who would bring me freshly killed pigeons as if they were the Hope Diamond? Who would put his little pointy head on my chest before rolling over into the yoga pose known as the Horny Mantis? The three of them just fit, like perfect puzzle pieces. Nor could I imagine any other dog coming in and making things better.

I feel weird saying this, since it seems I'm the only one, but....not really, no. I love both of my dogs equally for individual reasons. I think I spend more time with Ma'ii, because he's clingier and has anxiety issues I'm constantly trying to help him with, but I really don't love one more than the other.

Oh god, of course I do, Siri! Does that surprise anyone?

Siri is my heart dog, without a doubt. I adore her.

I love Skill. LOVE him. But he's no Siri.

Nobody likes Frodo. Well, nobody who lives with him likes him, at any rate. I spend a lot of time walking, training, and cuddling (or, his version of cuddling) to maintain some kind of relationship. I know that sounds awful, but it's true. For newbies who might think it's cruel to keep him if I don't like him, I can't rehome him due to him being a bite risk.

Honestly I don't think I do. There's things about each I adore ans things that I hate, and so all of them have moments of being best dog ever and also worst dog. :)

Sawyer has potential of being really awesome and perfect but I don't think he can be a favorite because.... Juno. She's awesome too lol.

Exactly! My dogs both have their days where one sucks while the other is just straight up awesome, and the next day it's vice versa. So, they both have their moments in the spotlight. If they were both to die tomorrow, I would grieve hysterically for both of them, not one more than the other.

I spent some time thinking about it this morning and came to the conclusion that I don't have a favorite. Crossbone is just hilarious and always making me laugh with a sweet cuddly side. He's honest, wants to be right and has definite likes and dislikes. Pox is just plain goofy and incredibly sweet but has a super super serious competitive side that makes me love and hate him at the same time. He's going to be an incredible agility dog, I think, whereas Crossbone isn't as passionate about it. I'm glad for both of them and they complement and enhance each other's personalities wonderfully.

Sometimes we talk like Crossbone is Ken's dog and Pox is mine but (shh) they both love me the most and I can't pick a favorite. It depends on the day or who ate my shoes that day :p

I had the same feelings about Tulsa, even when she was only 7 weeks old. I knew right from the start. And I felt guilty and I still feel guilty. But I also don't, because I love my other dogs too they just don't fill the same need. Basically I get it.

Absolutely, nothing on this earth will ever come close to touching Em. Nothing.

I cherish Bloo with ever fiber of my being, but we have a very different relationship.

Copper is my father's through and through, and as terrible as she is, I love her very much as well. Nowhere near as much as Em and Bloo, though.

I love Shadow, but I generally don't like her. At all. Not my dog.
