Ehhhh, that just seems...weird to me. Maybe if boobs were just boobs, and not such a sexual "icon"? I mean...I don't think women view man-chests the same way men view women-chests.
That being said, maybe if more women went topless, boobs would be less of a sex icon...*shrugs*
In short: it doesn't bother me at all that it isn't legal. If it was legalized, I wouldn't really care either.

Sure, why not? Not something I'd be comfortable with doing personally, but the paranoia about boobs in the US is just insane and it might make them less titillating (pun intended).
I think the same rules about acceptable locations should apply to both men and women when topless - don't bring that into a restaurant, cover up if you're going to be out shopping, but if you're on the beach? Out in nature? Sure, go right ahead.

In my opinion the world would be a better place if some men I know would wear shirts more often. But hey, this is Canada so half the year it's too cold anyway.
Live and let live, it's legal for women to be topless where ever men can be topless here. Trust me, you don't see bouncing bralessness running rampant on the streets of Toronto or anything.

Weirder things used to be viewed sexually and were considered indecent or racy if left uncovered. I imagine plenty were illegal, too. But I suppose we don't find viewing ears, wrists, feet, necks, etc as shocking as other body parts.
I generally feel like if it is secretive or banned in some wag, it makes it more valuable or desireable in one way or another.

I think it is true that if that it was legal and women just walked around topless, it would fade from being taboo and super crazy sexual. Which would be kind of nice, because they are primarily for feeding babies and it is kind of disturbing when you're not allowed to post breastfeeding photos on FB but are allowed to post all sorts of racy, sexual very boob included photos.
There are lots of different body parts in different cultures considered sexual and made to be hidden, things like neck, ankles, etc. It's very much a cultural thing, once you hide it and declare it a special sexy thing, you get this kind of body part obsessed result we have going.

We go to Spain alot on holiday, and um, almost everyone goes topless and no one - not even men, give anything about it. My SO didn't oogle at the topless women either.. all was fine, no one was hurt.
Personally, I believe if there wasn't such a hype in the US about people covering everything up correctly boobs would only be half as interesting to men. I remember being like 6, and here in Germany, young girls up until like 7 or 8 often go topless, we went to the beach with friends for the first time in the US and the other mom was like :yikes::yikes: YOU'RE LETTING HER TOPLESS... SHE IS EXPOSED. :yikes::yikes: A 6-year-old girls chest looks pretty much like a 6-year-old boys chest at that age. Seriously. Calm down.

Yes!!!!!!! I sunbathe pretty much topless when I'm on holiday. Tbh I literally just cover my nipples up as my brother and dad are usually there but I don't think they could care less really. I let the rest hang out
I'm not the sort of person who gets overly embarrassed getting my body out though. And I am no stick figure. I have cellulite and stretch marks (even more now!!!!).
It ain't the weather for topless sunbathing in Wales though hahaha. Plus I have massive boobs and appreciate the support of a good bra. But there is NOTHING nicer than being free and feeling the wind blast around your bits. Nothing.
