Well, today's Dillon's 3rd day here and so far he's been a doll... Him and Cody are great as I already stated, and although he gets a little weepy during night time, he always falls asleep in no less than an hour. His dog bed finally came today and I'm hoping it will help him fall asleep a little easier. My family and I think he might have a cold because although he is acting totally fine, when he falls asleep he breaths very short loud breaths and when he is sleeping his nose gets dry. As soon as he wakes up it gets wet again though We made him an appointment for october 5th to get his de-worming and all that good stuff... We've decided if he is still breathing funny by next week we'll make him an appointment, but he also only makes noise when he's on his back... any other time he just breaths a little fast, but I know that is usually normal. Anyway, i'll keep ya updated on his success, and ui'm still trying to figure out how to post the vid!
It's usually normal for puppies to have irregular and at times rapid breathing. The nose being wet or dry is not an indicator of sickness. He's probably just fine. If he hasn't been dewormed, I defiantly would not wait until October 5th! That would be too long. It's probably best with new puppies to take them to the vet right away regardless of if they are acting fine or not.
Thanks showpug! He actually just got vet checked the day before we got him... It's just one of his monthly shots, he was due a month after his last one which was I believe september 6th... He IS up to date on everything(shots and all)... Also, I FINALLY got the videos to work off of Utube, YAY! Here's one of Dillon and Cody playing in the "man room"... Cody's such a tease, he knows Dillon can't go up the stairs!
(the video is still uploading at the moment... I'll post the link when it's ready!)
