Heres a picture of one of my Alaskan Malamutes (Timber) he managed to get a 4th place at Crufts this year. although he has dropped a lot of his coat I think he still looks quite nice, and he moved lovely.

funnily enough I was hoping the Malamute didnt win, its surprising how much it effects the demand for puppies after people see a particular breed win at crufts, everyone all of a sudden want that type of dog, and consequently many more end up in rescues as they were bought on a whim so I was happy with the result, but the malamute was lovley, although on the night of BIS he seemed a lot less lively and less of the full of go as he did on the day he got the working group. it must have all been a bit too much for him.

Congrats to Timber ;) He looks good! I really like his bone structure, some of the mals in the show ring are so heavy in bone its no wonder they cant pull a sled worth a dang anymore...But Timber looks like he could go from the show ring to a harness in a breeze, awesome!

Thanks OC thats a real nice compliment, he is a working dog and as strong as an ox lol. I know what you mean about some showdogs being too heavy but not always heavy in bone some are carrying far too much weight and you can see them rolling round the ring, you just know that if they try to work they would be exhausted in no time.

Hehehehe ya there''s that too....Its so nice to see someone who shows AND works...often its either one or the other and sadly its the people who breed only for show who tend to deteriorate the breed IMO If I ever go looking for a Malamute I know who I''ll be coming to :D Can I be greedy and ask for more pics of Timber pweeeeeze

Great pic and congrats.
Great to see people who work and show the dogs...
Also love this show they are all class and the owners and or handlers dress well. Where some of the Euro shows the outfits with the high heels and mini's take away from the dogs.

I hope to attend Crufts I have a dog going to Scotland and that was a condition I get to see Crufts.

Again BIG congrats job well done love the self stack look.
Looks like they allow baiting . :)
