Hi, I'm new to this forum and have a behavioral question regarding my Corgi that I was curious about and thought maybe someone with some knowledge might be able to explain to me.
This morning while feeding Mabel my 3 year old Corgi, I slipped and fell pretty hard in the kitchen and her bowl shattered and food exploded all over the floor. I laid there for at least 15 minutes because I really hurt myself and couldn't move. My beloved, couldn't be found anywhere. She apparently ran into the bedroom and hid under the bed until I was finally able to get up, clean-up and found her cowering and shaking under where I could barely reach her. So much for "my best friend to the rescue"!
Anyone know why she may have reacted that way as opposed to coming up to me, kissing me and "checking on me"?
If anyone has any ideas, would love to hear it.
Thanks.
