Contract Speutering?

I kinda think punkygirl has the bored mind.

I asked a question about pitweilers because I saw something online about them. I also said I was not planning to breed any, but was curious about their temperament. Did anyone on the board mention having any experience with one? No, but there were plenty of opinions about it.

I have never said anywhere that I was intending to breed the pitbull. I did say that he is scheduled to be neutered. I also said that I was considering not doing it, because of the dog's best interest medically. I did not say that I was considering not doing it so that I could breed him.

So then I said, okay I will go ahead and get him neutered. It's still not good enough in PunkyGirl's mind.

It has gone on past speutering the pitbulls and the rottweiler to now speutering all of the 17 puppies. At any moment, I am sure I will next be instructed that as a responsible person I must take all of them to obedience classes and groomers before placing them in homes.

Is there anything else, PunkyGirl?

Yes, that is why they want the people who are adopting them to AGREE to do it, and by taking him you AGREED to neuter him. Not all this talk about BREEDING a RESCUE PITBULL!

Do you know that shelter was under the impression that you had already had Jaws neutered? Now how did they get that idea?

Your title indicates you have a question about contract spay/neutering so that is what I answered.

I'm not really following what is going on here but it sounds like you are wondering what we think of it?

And it sounds like you have a dog you don't want to have neutered right?

And that makes people think you are wanting to breed right?

Am I getting this?

The thing that makes me think it is post #49 on the 5th page. Well. That and a bunch of other posts. But it's more forthright in that one.

I'm not sure why, since it says right on the website about his scheduled neutering.

Oh, but wait. Maybe I did already get him neutered and forgot about it. I was wondering about those weird things in the jar on my desk. Silly me. I might be getting dementia or something.

ah, you mean where I said, "That does not mean that I would irresponsibly breed him just for the heck of it." ??

I think they mean where you said

"his services may be required"

or something similar.

Uh huh.

If I would look at it in the same sense as that guns are illegal in Washington,DC but legal here....and that people are sensible enough to make the most of their rights, I would be honor bound to keep Jaws intact.....in the possibilty that his future services might be very important. That does not mean that I would irresponsibly breed him just for the heck of it.

Jeebus, you make this too easy. Can we get a troll that argues with intelligence next time?

Yep, that's exactly it.

BigDogs: You said you wouldn't irresponsibly breed him, but for all I know, you might think it's possible to "responsibly" breed him (though I would disagree.) Since you talked about "his services being required" and, in another post I believe, something about a responsibility to "keep the breed from becoming extinct", I concluded that was the case.

Keep being a smartass, because they have been given all the links to these threads.

Considering all your previous bashing of "pit bulls" and stating that only drug dealers and gang bangers would want to own such vicious dogs, I have every reason to question your motives here. And I've questioned such motives to those who run the rescue where you got your dog.

So I suggest you step up the plate and start acting like a grown-up, or go sit in the kiddie corner and do as you're told.

You don't even know what Jaws is! So breeding him under any circumstances would be irresponsible. How in the hell are you not understanding that?!

Actually her wording was that she wants to keep the "species" from becomming extinct.... I remember because I had a distinct mental picture of Jaws and the Rottie being the last two dogs on earth. *shudder*

carry on.
