WTF. Confetti Schnauzer

Obvious arguments aside, who's bloody brilliant idea was it to take two breeds that are known for being huge loudmouthed barkers and put them together?? :wall:

I died at "Designer Dog Kennel Club."

:wall:

eta: omg I just... don't understand:

Afghan Hound x Rottweiler = Rottaf
And that is just at the very beginging of a VERY long list of "acceptable crosses."

Here is their list of 538 different breed combos.

Please tell me they are not for-serious. :(

Wow. It look like someone figured out how to make money off the "designer" dog breeders themselves. :rofl1:

That's the thing to do. Slap together some bogus "registry" and a paypal account. Send me money to throw together a little certificate of authenticity for your mutt!

ETA: for the love of all that is good, I am sooo happy they don't have any borzoi mixes on their accepted list. Phew!

The number of chihuahua "designer dog" crosses makes me want to cry. :(

ETA: I think a chihuahua x papillon could potentially be a very cool dog. (From a shelter.)

I know several pap/chi mixes. Most look like solid colored papillons for the most part.

Anyways, this is definitely a new one....

Sigh. I will have to look elsewhere to register my upcoming Mountain Curoodles.

I enjoy that nobody proofread their site, including them. As you go down the list:

Great Pyrenees x Greater Swiss Mountain Dog = Soft Coated Golden

Golden Retriever x Irish Setter = Miniature Golden Retriever

Spacing counts, children.

Oh. My. Gosh.

Wow, I hope no one falls for that :O

25. American Eskimo x Papillon * Papimo

55. Australian Cattle Dog x Siberian Husky

Really weird...

We had someone drop off 6 confetti schnauzers at the shelter I worked at - they came with all their stuff: matted coats, water bottles from their cages, and really crappy socialization. :( All had really funky temperaments, but we weren't sure if it was the breeding or lack of socialization...

I really do like the look of the "Confetti Schnauzer". Really cool looking dog.

The only Designer Dog Club or Registry that uses a series of quality checks for breed verification.
Litter and Dog Registration on high quality paper with gold embossed seal of Authenticity.
Basset Hound X Beagle = Bascottie

Oh I think the dogs are cute, but their temperaments are most likely not the best and they could have lots of health problems

In doing so a Mini. Australian Shepherd was chosen due to there beautiful Merle color, great intelligence and similarities to the Schnauzer
What similarities would that be? Same species?

I like how the Malinois/GSD is called a Malinois X. Original!
:rofl1:
Most people breeding Mali X GSD aren't looking for a place to register them.

I can't wait to start seeing the pattern white schnauzers crop up because the idjits who breed these guys aren't going to know about the genetics behind it.

I've met someone who breeds these dogs. They are the barkiest things I've ever met, and to solve that problem she just cuts their vocal cords so they run around making this god-awful raspy squeak. Shudder.
