"coaten" ???? // weird basset puppy

ok I was picking Nutmeg up from the vet and I was talking to the vet when a Lady came in carrying in 4 kennals with like 3 puppies in each. I think there was 4 diffrent breeds anywhoo. She sits on the floor and starts trying to get them out.

She had these fluffy white puppies she called coaten ... Im probobly miss spelling it. Never heard of them b4.

She had a basset puppy that walked weird. I dont know what you would call it but the lil "pad" or what not a bit up the leg. He was walking flat on it his paws up to the "pad" Is that bad? I really had to bite my tongue.. I could hardly look at her. . she said Nutmeg was a great beagle.:lol-sign:

Sadly, Coton de Tulears have been the subject of a lot of publicity and they're way up on the list of "profitable" litters for the mills and BYBs now

Bassets have really effed up legs in general but that's really bad.

Yup, probably Coton de Taleurs, really, if you get from correct breeders, they are nice dogs. I know a gal who has 2 from a very nice breeder, one more of a pet than the other, but they are both still very cute! I really like the breed, though can't imagine myself owning one....

hey agility pup..a coton handily qualified for the aac nats in ontario last year. I never thought of them as an agility dog, but this one rocked!

ok thank! believe me I didnt want one of hers. I have enough babys. I had just never heard the name b4. I hate that something so cute can be so terribly abused just to make money

ok so bassets legs are pretty messed up . whew. I was concerned about the person on the recieving end of the poor baby. He was there b/c he had heart problems. (though he was still left outside in the pen) She said he is still active in the pen with its siblings..GRR!
