LOL your dog KNOWS you. My dogs aren't afraid of eye contact from ME because we've trained it and they know what to expect from me. They certainly would respond differently to a cocky, bullying stranger in their yard. You just really don't understand much about dog behavior, do you?

Izze wouldnt have even taken food from him, he would have sat the bowl down & she woukdnt have walked away & not even approached it, even if he called her... that dog disliked anyone but me & i (unintentially by being the only one who good things & food came from) accomplished this by being the only one who ever fed her. when i brought her to my folks ranch to stay for a while due to work, it took them a week to get her to take food from them & she has known them since she was 6 weeks old. so no, i dont imagine she would even approach a stranger with food. neither would Josefina, she is very untrusting of new people's intentions, she's never been abused, she's just wary.

i can do a lot of things with my dogs (even buddy) that other ppl couldnt, i can trim buddy's nails, give them meds if i have to, doctor cuts or whatever if they get any. clean their feet if its muddy etc... things a total stranger (esp one like CM would ever get to do, because he doesnt spend the amount of time est trust that i do, i have a better relationship with my dogs then he does with his i think, because i am not so hung up on the D word, i just let them be dogs both with me & each other.

my home is a dog home, my dogs are allowed to do things like rough house & bark & dig, if any visitors to my placce dont like it, there is the gate dont let it hit you on the way out . guess thats why i dont have any visitors LMBO but thats ok, my dogs are good enough friends... so good that i dont have many human friends... dont (outside of the internet) need em

I guess she is one of those who thinks that anyone who doesnt choose to have kids is a waste of space on the earth maybe??? easy for her to be all big & bad sitting behind a computer, if this convo were person to person i doubt she'd say anything like that to our faces... but i would say wat i typed to her face because she is wrong & i (along with many others on here) know more about dogs then she... or CM does about dogs, because both have closed their minds to learning anything new... & the dogs always suffer for it thats who i really feel sorry for.

And there are more professional dog trainers in this thread than one idiot, and thank god they're all appalled at this behavior. It does give me some sort of hope that modern dog training has progressed beyond backyard hicks and rednecks shooting their dogs over a defensive bite.

bottom line is i have chosen... notice that i have dogs & NOT kids? because i love them more sorry but its true. i know there are ppl who have both & they live happily together, but i know it would be too much for me to have both that & my breed of choice is not i known good kid breed. so i made a choice long ago... & the choice was dogs

you may not think of a dog equal to a kid... but there are some of us who do, please respect our wishes... you wouldnt let your kid harass another kid on the play ground would you? so dont let them do it so someone's dog!
